It's the last video in my Slow Stitch Portrait series today - Part 4 of our April Stitch Along. Today we are going to see that It's All In The Eyes as we take on the final details of our face.
Today we are going to use simple thread painting techniques and lots of close observation to add in the eyes and brows. Then we are going to add stitching to our background using our favourite colours and threads. By the end of today's video, we should have a representation of ourselves at this moment in our lives.

In those videos, I showed you how to manipulate a photo to make it useable as a template; how to create a background with your favourite things; how to use your photo as a template to create the foundations of the face; and how to use simple stitches to create contour and detail.
I have chosen to use felt for my portrait, but you can use fabrics, patterns and textures that really say something about you. This is a project that allows you to really have fun and play with anything you like in your stash.
