Agreed. Usually it's dubstep, and I can hardly call a single, whining electronic note repeated at varying rates music. The parts of dubstep songs between those bits are fine, though.

sonicpacker I know I’m 6 years late but in reference to the sm64 TAS you posted 6 years ago can you explain to me how the glitch at 7:00 works? I’m curious if you get to control Mario while this is working or if it’s trial and error. Also how did your team identify so much glitches? Im curious if they found them by looking at hit boxes or if they were found in the TAS community website

Can you imagine doing this -1 times? The rerecord counts are often hex-edited to silly numbers, and are generally not to be trusted.

From someone who hasn’t even played Super Mario 64 casually yet, all I can say is wow. Just wow. Good job to everyone involved. I can’t imagine the amount of effort it takes to partake in these.

Is there anyway you could put the time difference (-0.xx) for each run? I think it would be a good addition.

First THI task I've not been in the compilation for (and I was a LONG way off), and what a shame it had to happen after we stopped showing rerecords lmao. Congrats to relatively new (but already really good & rapidly improving) SM64 TASers Krithalith & Dyllonstej for coming out on top! (Update: RIP first comment 2018-2018)

I like this one a lot. I think I like shorter competitions, where it's easy to see the differences between submissions.

In SM64DS, I get warped next to the switch rather than onto the small island.

That's were you're usualy swapped in SM64 too, but they hacked the warp point to make the task more interesting
