Today’s recipe is for quick, fresh, small-batch kimchi made with napa cabbage, called baeuchu-geotjeori. I make it Jeolla province style, with a thick paste made from fermented anchovies. The full recipe is here: www.maangchi.c...
I found that Amazon has the YeongYang hot pepper flakes I show in the video! amzn.to/2IH9L16

I dont know why when you mention about your kids, I get so emotional. I followed your recipes since I was 16. The first dish I made from your recipes was cabbage kimchi. After that, I have cooked for my family alot of delicous things thanks to you. For me, you are not only my teacher but also another mother. I have not meet you in person yet, but I really love to do it. I love your video, your recipes, your soul and your voice. Thank you for upload these video and introduce the korean cuisine. I hope you always be happy and healthy.

That is exciting to hear!!!! I recommend trying the spicy Korean stir-fried pork! That's one of the first recipes I tried and it is super easy to make! We usually have it 2-3 times a month! Also if we don't have pork we substitute it with chicken. The first time I made the recipe I followed Maangchi's directions exactly. I loved the spice and heat. My husband liked it but it was a little too much for him to handle. Just keep that in mind if people in your family are a little sensitive (but we latina's can handle our spice haha!) I can't wait to hear what you try! kzfaq.info/get/bejne/adV2dqp80uC1iGw.html

I used to work in a Korean owned company. That is where I tried Kimchi for the first time. It was the most delicious thing I had ever tasted. I became addicted. When I left that job, I tried buying store bought Kimchi, but they never tasted as delicious as the homemade kimchi I had when I worked in that company. I'm so excited that I found this video. This brings back so many wonderful memories I have of Korea. I was there as a Peace Corps Volunteer for 2 years, lived with a Korean family and had very little contact with Americans. I loved Korea so much I didn't want to leave. I almost got married there and stayed. (That was not the path God had for me, however.) When I got back to the States I was "homesick" for a long time for Korea. I felt like a Korean among the "round-eyed." Korea will always have a special place in my heart.

I do hope the makers of the red pepper flakes- as well as other Korean products -put some labeling/descriptions in English as you spoke of in the video. I remember when we talked about this during the supermarket video we filmed. It would really help with purchases. The Korean Agro Trade is wise to have you giving ideas that will really make a difference. So many people respect your ideas and recipes. You look so happy and at ease sitting outside there. I'm so glad & excited you made a small portion recipe of Kimchi. I'm the only one in my house that likes it. I buy it at the local market already made but it would spoil before I even finished eating all the contents of the container. I absolutely love kimchi with ramen. Again thanks for the recipes, God bless you & your talent to explain recipes.

Thank you Maangchi 🥰! I enjoyed this video so much. The history behind where you are, and information on how red pepper flakes are made in that area made me feel like I was there. This really makes the kimichi you made so special.

I live in Incheon and every day feels like a war. yeongyang hot peppers are especially beautiful in clear colors. When I was working in Cheongsong County, I went to Yeongyang-county a few times on my day off. North Gyeongsang Province yeongyang county They're all nice and blunt on the outside, but they're very kind-hearted. Just looking at the pretty outside makes you healthy. Kimchi looks delicious, and I should take some time to buy some yeongyang hot red pepper

Oh, maangchi, you are so lovable, not stuffed toy could ever be as lovable.... this is the kind of Kimchi that I love, thank you for the recipe. I think I will be brave enough to try using fermented anchovies. You represent Korea so well. When I Get rich, I'll buy you that house, knowing well that a famous historical figure who loved to cook once lived there. God bless you😊

Hello @Maangchi, i made this kimchi recipe today, followed everything but no gochugaru so i used gochujang instead. This is my first time making kimchi and it taste better than those from the store, we ate the kimchi with "pork and chicken adobo" (filipino food). We really enjoyed your recipe. Thank you!
