Smart timer garden hose faucet unboxing/setup/review-Diivoo Wifi/Bluetooth irrigation controller.
Need a WiFi or Bluetooth enabled device that will turn a regular old garden hose faucet into an automated irrigation zone? We first tried B-Hyve which was very difficult to setup, but once done, worked flawlessly and there are NO MECHANICAL ISSUES. Until.... IT DIED by the weirdest malfunction (see below) We ordered Diivoo Smart Water Timer from Amazon. It had good reviews and was cheaper than the price of the B-Hyve. Well...
You would think that in this day and age, a simple thing such as a WiFi enabled automated water hose timer would be inexpensive, easy to setup and simple to use. Watch this video to see how this went.
I’m now on my third brand of WiFi enabled Hose-Faucet water timers and each one has had its own separate set of issues. Seems like the choice everyone is making is “let’s take the most simple thing (in theory) and make it the most complicated!”
Today we’ll go over how our B-hyve timer broke in the oddest way, and since we needed a replacement, we went with a more inexpensive one called Diivoo.
B-hyve had its fair share of issues. Mainly worked. But right after the warranty ended, when it would run as it should but then the valve would not completely close, cause our pipes to bang (kind of violently) until we would bleed the valve manually after each run. That got annoying FAST. So we went for a replacement that wasn’t as expensive but was still WiFi enabled. Well, here’s how that went.
