Pork Dumpling Recipe
Ingredients for the filling:
1 pound of Pork sausage
5 minced cloves of Garlic
Half stalk of Green onion
1/4cup Shredded Carrots
1 cup of shredded Cabbage
2 Tbsp of minced Ginger
Season with: dark soy sauce, light soy sauce, onion powder & gochujang kick seasoning
Combine all ingredients together and taste as you go and set aside.
Dough:
4 cups of flour
1 teaspoon of salt
2 cups of boiling water
2 Tbsp of oil
Directions:
In a mixer or a bowl combine all ingredients together and mix until you form a ball of smooth dough. Cover with a damp towel and let it set for 30 to 40 minutes. Next roll your dough out on a floured surface until flat and thin. Use a medium sized round cookie cutter to cut the circles out. Use 1/2 Tbsp of pork filling to stuff the dough and seal the dough around the edges with water or egg wash so they will seal tightly. Pan fry your dumplings in a skillet with 2Tbsp of oil on medium high heat until bottoms are golden brown then add 1cup to a half cup of water to the pan. Cover and steam until dumplings are soft for about 10 to 15 minutes.
Chili Oil:
3Tbsp of water
3 stalks chopped green onion
3 tsp Red chili flakes
1 Tsp of sesame oil
1 Tbsp of sesame seeds
4 minced garlic cloves
1/4 cup of vegetable oil
3 Tbsp rice vinegar
4 Tbsp soy sauce
1 tsp of gochujang kick
2Tbsp of shaoxing cooking wine
Directions:
In a skillet add your oil and Sauté onion medium high heat garlic, green onion and chili flakes. Then add the rest of ingredients and saute for another 4 to 5 minutes until done Taste sauce as you go for adjustments if needed.
