Obviously the Timber Rattlesnake label in the initial cut at around 15:20 was a typo, they are venomous. I edited it out in KZfaq editor so it isn’t perfect but it will prevent confusion for future viewers. Thanks for pointing it out, but I’m deleting the comments so people won’t be confused further after watching the edited video once it is processed.

Thanks. Live in Tampa area now and grew up in Hollywood area in the 70's. Used to "hunt" snakes all the time. I haven't seen a green snake in a very long time. Glad you found one. And, that's for showing that Peninsula Ribbon snake. Never saw one growing up, but pretty sure I spotted one or two recently walking the county parks in Seminole Florida. One was halfway up a pine tree with his head buried in a rotted hole. I didn't have my camera with me to take picture of it. At first, I thought it might be a invasive/exotic Bronze Back Tree Snake though since I wasn't too familiar with the large brown ribbon snake, but after seeing your find in this video, I think it was a Peninsula Ribbon Snake. Thanks

I lived a lot of my life in FL and I can say that it's very common to see snakes daily. You see more of the black racers in general but the poisonous ones pop up here and there. One place I did live was south of Orlando out in orange grove country. My grandma had a bunch of baby diamondbacks in her yard. I used to see snakes daily. When your laying on the ground working on your car you tend to stop and look around every now and then just to make sure nothing is slithering through.

What's really cool is finding a hybrid/cross between a Cotton Mouth and a Copperhead. They do cross breed. Hence, Cotton Head, or Copper Mouth. It's perfectly possible because they are both of the same genus.(Agkistrodon) It's more common than we think in the wild. After someone has had enough exposure, they can recognize it because of skin pattern, and behavior.
