After a long time, SNG with a meaningful and relevant podcast..

Why non- cricket sports in our country get neglected is because of the same reason that a podcast of this title talks for 5-7 mins on cricket!!

One of the best podcasts from sng. Because of these reasons: A. Varun was not there- he brings too much unnecessary energy and personalized stories to the table which derails the topic of discussion. B. Everyone was allowed to speak and it was not just random dudes discussing their stories. C. Good guest who actually knows what he is talking about and challenge the thoughts of sng team as well. We've been watching sng podcasts for so long not because we love seeing 4 guys laugh and joke about stuff but to also to get a different perspective for the topic in discussion. Keep up the good work!

I heard a similar argument from Shoaib Akhtar in an interview where the interviewer asked him why India never had great bowlers? His reply was that because India never had a flamboyant bowler who could catch people's attention.We had Gavaskar,Sachin and other great batsmen....hence we still have great batsmen...but we ever had an Imran Khan...who could make bowling sexy for the masses.

Wow guys :) I am going to take back my words which went along the lines that the SnG podcast is not overtly intellectual... This podcast was amazing and it had the perfect blend of zingers as well :)

I'm not some expert sports analyst but when Gaurav Kapur said that" when we all are 5ft tall how can we be good at basketball " and this statement is completely false as our height advantage is the only thing other Asian basketball powerhouse takes into consideration and suprisingly our weakness is small men who are the controller of the ball and our big men are our strength. Our height is the envy of others. This shows us how much lack of faith we have in our own capabilities. Especially physical capabilities.

What Gaurav said that 'Usme ate hai hai log, karte kuch nai hai' referring to sports quota is true as fuck. It happens in my college. That needs to change.

Decides to talk about non-Cricket sports proceeds to talk about Cricket for 70% of the time. I'm a football fan and would like to share some achievements of the Indian football team. We are on an Unbeaten run of 14 matches and we have Qualified for the AFC Asian Cup. Which is the Asian Equivalent of Euros, Copa America, African Cup of Nations. It's the next best thing to World Cup that we can qualify for.

I love SNG podcasts, but for the most part the "non-cricket sports" podcast turned into "cricket and world cup" podcast. that right there may be one of the reasons other sports aren't flourishing? Good that Gaurav brought it back on track.
