I never post a comment or give likes on YT ever (not joking), except for now because after your recent videos i feel like you need to read it. Never question your content, this is what we all subscribed to (at least me) and anticipate to see forward. Hikes, scenery, DYI´s delicious cooking and a baby wipe comment every now and then. I dont anticipate to see you go ahead start a new van build or expand into something thats not you. I know you take a lot of pride in this build, and i´ve watched you build it multiple times now. Would love to see you ship that van overseas to Norway one day and doing what you do best. Greetings from a long time fan.

If you do decide to get a dog you should get a smaller breed like a bichon frise lhasa apso mix/jack russel terrier(max 8-10kg). You could do summits with the little guy on your back. A bigger breed would just weigh you down and not cool leaving it for hours on end it the van.

I was thinking a Jack Russsel as well. Fantastic companions, easy to train, smart, super athletic (even by Simon's standards), one of the most loyal dogs, and robust. My buddy Jake lived 18 years and was never sick.

Springer Spaniel. Springer Spaniel. Ours lived to be 16. Up till about 11 years old he hiked, backpacked, swam, camped, climbed all over Eastern Canada. Nothing could stop him. He loved it all. Small enough but big enough. An incredible breed. And he loved me to death.

I've been watching Foresty for over 2 years now and I must say - the video quality and production quality of this content has taken a giant leap since this started. It amazes me in 2022 how potentially one guy in his van is able to do all this and I would rather watch this than a lot of tv shows produced by multibillion dollar corporations. Foresty is awesome!

Who doesn’t like watching a fire? There is something so relaxing and primal of just setting up and tending a fire. The relaxation, visual satisfaction, warmth of heat and even cooking option make an actual stove / fire the best bang for your buck in my opinion. As long as you aren’t an idiot that is because a fire can kill you in multiple ways before you even realise it’s happening.

The reason why people follow your channel is that you have your own unique style. That is the key point, your own style. If your channel isn't different from others, what's the point to subscribe your channel anyway? If some people don't like your video, they can jump over to other channel whenever they like. They might have already left after leaving a nasty comment. Just ignore them.

Another very good video. Something to thing when you’re deciding on getting a dog. I’ve had dogs for years and they are great, however, they do last a lifetime… their lifetime. And they change your life. Many places don’t allow dogs, lodging could be much harder to find, if you need to find a place for awhile… truck repair, etc. Dogs have expenses that many don’t think of, medical check ups, they have accidents that cause hospitalization, and other expenses. However, they are also great, because they are never in a bad mood, always love your cooking and are great just to have around. Just some things to think about. One last thing, if you want a certain breed, read up on them. Adopted or rescued dog are always great! Skillet

You make a lot of good points , Owning a Dog may seem like a huge commitment to some , but the benefits of an Intelligent , Athletic , Loving , Loyal dog far out weight the negative aspects you mentioned. Mind you I am biased , having a dog most of my life , I don't know any different. Choosing the right dog is important. I do a lot of climbing and Hiking/backpacking in the Alberta and BC Rockies ..Even canoeing. My dog loves hanging out for a long paddle. German ShortHaired Pointers are my dog of choice , Unbelievable Athleticism , Stamina , intelligence and just all around great dog. Thats just me. Another breed that possesses the same traits are Border Collies , plus easier to train. In the end I know Foresty is a very smart guy and whatever breed or mutt or rescue dog he chooses , will be great for him. If you go back to some of Foresty's early videos , I recall him being with his family and there was a bunch of dogs hanging out , I believe they were Bernese Mountain Dogs. Not sure.

YAY Foresty! A visit to my old home town, Ely, Nevada. County seat of White Pine County which is larger than the state of Massachusetts. You gotta go out south of Ely and visit the charcoal ovens and go over to cave lake. Go out North through McGill and go to the creeks - Bird Creek, Timber Creek & Berry Creek. The Success Loop is probably still closed due to snow and muddy roads but if/when you come back through, that's a beautiful drive too. Lots of good stuff to see.

Agree about the fostering. Beware of shelters that don't provide much advice and try to push dogs. A border collie may be a good choice if a young pup, but require lots of attention and are very active. Great dogs for training. Had one for ten years. He was the best sitter I ever had to watch out for my children when doing yard work. He ran circles around them to protect them. Sad the last couple of years when his health deteriorated though. Keep that in mind.

I also want to say just one tiny thing that is a bit selfish of myself. I've been on YT a long long time and have seen many many channels go on a short break and then never post again and ghost the channel. I just mention this because I really hope this doesn't happen here because your vids are great as I said but I don't mind if they went back to more simple vids if it was better for you. Anyway, I just felt like saying that. Cheers.
