My favorite part is when Mrs. Cooper tells Leonard, "Now, don't you move. I'll bring over all the food." and then sits back and smiles as Leonard brings over all the food.

as a cat lover, this is one of my favorite episodes! sheldon going off the rails is always hilarious, and amy is always fun. the way leonard says "suffered in silence" still cracks me up.

The one thing that I love about this season is that this is Sheldon's introduction to show his fun side and that's why it made sense that he related to Amy more than everybody else because she understands him better than his other friends in the group. Unlike, the rest of the group, she actually enjoys being around Sheldon and not trying to get away from him. And I guarantee if his other friends did that, he would have shown his fun side, a lot more. I mean he always had a fun side, even in the 1st season but when he met Amy, he showed it a whole lot more. Before it was like, even though he had friends, he still felt alone. And I guess that's why you cam say that I always take up for Sheldon because I know exactly how that feels.

Fun fact: amy's actress is a real life neurobiologist and on the episode on who they want as their fourth member on the physics bowl, raj suggested the girl who played tv's blossom which is also amy's actress

To think, Sheldon once complained about Leonard bringing home *one* cat after a breakup. This is the episode that came to my mind when that happened. Frankly, though, I wonder where the idea of getting a pet to replace a girlfriend came from - is that really so common, or do the writers of this show just think it is? Also, I dare you to try to count the number of cats in that bedroom scene to see if it matches the number Leonard said. And then imagine the smell they must have generated - I only have two cats, and that's bad enough.

agreed with others that say Amy grows into her own person/character. Mayim is pretty incredible actress. I might be biased in this defense, as most of my friends-and family-compare me to Amy. LOL

When you were talking about "Counterfactuals" and "this cause and effect stuff" it remined me of an Isaac Asimov short story I read a long time ago. It was called "Spell My Name with an S" - a scientist is advised by a numerologist to start spelling his name with an 'S' instead of a "Z' in order to change his fortunes. It leads to a series of chain events and eventually the scientist is promoted, which is what he wanted. It turns out the numerologist was an alien who had made a bet with another alien that he could cause a major change in human history (one of the results of the series of chain events was that a nuclear war was avoided) by only causing a minor change (the changing of one letter of the scientist's name). Then the aliens make a bet to see if the other one can put things back the way they were (i.e. set the world on a path toward nuclear war) with only another very small change.

It's strange how easy it is to manipulate Sheldon given how high his IQ is.

Fun fact: this episode was one of the hardest for Jim Parsons to make, because he is allergic to cats

I wished that he had kept Zazzles! It also bothers me a bit that they retconned the fact that Sheldon was apparently allergic to cats when Leonard wanted to buy one when Penny broke up with him and now has no problems, but I love cats too much to stay upset. 🐈 🐈 🐱 🐱

So Amy will be a regular now, but she will change. The writers boxed themselves in by making her TOO MUCH like Sheldon. Already have Sheldon for that 😝 So, she will change and it's a little messy as some things are inconsistent. Overlook the issues and you still have a very funny show. That's why it was #1 fkr years.

~16:-10 Any of Sheldon's roommate agreements give Sheldon the final authority. Examples: Fly to the wine country to present a paper? Or take a train for three times the price:? Why, take the train of course, because only Sheldon's vote ever really counts. I have this headcanon/plot theory that I hope will actually be realized by the end of *Young Sheldon" which could particularly illuminate this episode: Young Sheldon actually realized he was in love with his rival Paige and then she died. In a pretty credible Sheldon way Sheldon locked away the conscious memories of Paige's fate, which explains why (so far, at least0, it's never been hinted at in *Young Sheldon*.. Of course his mother knows about this, but would she ever bring it up before Sheldon does remember again?
