Please always follow safety requirements while making soap! Sodium/Potassium hydroxide is caustic and can cause burns on skin or on mucous membranes!

It is fascinating how contrasting design can be achieved without the addition of colours and the way soap makers play with their soaps! I have still got so much to learn from.
The colourants I used in this video were:
30% lye concentration - middle portion
45% lye concentration - outer portion
Essential oil blend: Peppermint and Patchouli

It is really weird how I was expecting the opposite results were the middle portion will be more translucent while the outer portion would be more opaque. It turned out the other way around probably because I have only used a half batch and the outer portion was insulated with the wooden mould OR both portion actually went through gel phase? If you have any idea, please let me know in the comments below! I am still so new with soap making and this is a great learning opportunity.
