These are the best, most relatable videos I've seen on Kibbe. Both the understanding of the system and ability to point out the subtle difference in a way that makes it all of a sudden obvious are unparalleled, at least on KZfaq.

This is the best video on anything concerning romantics. I've struggled to understand the need for shine, but seeing it contrast with Natural's matte made it very clear. Thank you! Please more romantic kibbe content!

You are a very good communicator. Not only do you know style very well, but you also know how to properly explain it to people in a very easy to understand manner. Not so easy to do btw. I hope your channel does very well if that's the goal and be sure to take breaks as needed. I deal with anxiety too and I think you're very brave to continue to put yourself out there for public consumption. Well wishes to you and God bless!

Whoa!!! I just commented on another video, saying how I’ve frequently been tempted to buy such feminine or flowy pieces but I always end up feeling “syrupy.” When you said “saccharine” that really resonated with me!

I'm happy you're back! Never feel rushed or pressured, we'll be here if you're feeling up to it. (Also, this is such a quality video. I've been thinking for awhile I'm a TR [or maybe just R], but I struggle with dysmorphia and so I doubt it and wonder if I'm actually SN. This is really helping me to embrace that I am pretty confident I'm in the R family, so thank you for this!)

Welcome back! I really missed your videos, but good for you for taking some needed time off for your mental health. I really like how you encourage people to actually try out different lines on their bodies - something that I think a lot of people forget about. That's what this is all about, anyway, and it's the best way to determine your type if you're confused. Hope to see you here again soon! *hugs*

I've watched some of your older videos during the past weeks and really hoped you'd upload again. So yay, I'm glad you did. I am a SN wearing a pixie with an undercut and I love the effect it has. Yes it brings out the structure of my face and yes it looks a bit wider than it does with longer hair, but I like it. I still go with textured and asymmetrically shaped styles but I prefer the short hair on me. It accentuates the shoulders and the bone structure. I felt very wrong when I tried the general recommendations for SNs, but not because they looked bad, they do in fact look awesome, but that's just not me. I don't want to look the most feminine and chic I could, I wanna look edgy and strong. And basically, from what I understand, Kibbe tries to teach us how to dress in order to look feminine and chic. But we can just use this knowledge to create any impact we want to. At the end, it's all about self-awareness, I think. Oh and btw: I hope your come-back doesn't trigger your social anxiety again. I know how much it can drown you, it's limiting your energy and vibe and takes away the beauty of your very own inner self and I wouldn't want anyone to go through the impact social anxiety can have. You're amazing the way you are, no matter who doesn't agree with your way of living. You shine the most when you do exactly that: live life the way you need it the most. And those who don't enjoy being around you aren't worth your presence. (Which actually isn't a bad thing, we're all different and everyone needs something else to bloom, right?) Remember: Healing isn't linear and it's most certainly not pretty. So take your time and also take time off whenever you need it. You're the most important person in your life, even if sometimes it doesn't feel like it.

The suit comparison at the end really helped. I'm larger chested. Measurements at 44 x 36 x 45 so I thought maybe more romantic but I feel like I have more broad shoulders. With suits at work I feel more confident and get most compliments in high waisted loose trousers, tucked in shirt and open blazer. I think I'm leaning towards more soft natural !

This was so helpful! Thank you! I'm a romantic who recently gained a lot of weight, so I've been going for some soft natural styles that have no waist emphasis and are more drapey. I look like I'm swimming in them, but I don't want to wear tight clothes. 😭
@ellem8990
@ellem8990 Ай бұрын
Perhaps there's a middle ground? It sounds like you just went from one extreme to another, tight to lose with no waist emphasis. There are plenty shirts and dresses that aren't skin hugging, but they do have some waist emphasis (so no box cuts). Perhaps a slightly loose shorter shirt that flares out a bit from the waist and with a lower neckline? I have a very specific image in my head and I do not mean one of those 2010 peplum shirts, those are more figure hugging and the flare is more extreme. Also choosing the fabric carefully helps, so nothing too stiff. Even if it's a shirt with a more loose cut, having a more flowy fabric with some weight helps with some movement and curve hugging (I hope I described that well enough). There are plenty other ways to not swim in fabric, like doing a french tuck with a loose shirt, but it would take forever to list all possibilities. I don't know if that helped at all.

watching this, i am still utterly confused as to what i am. my body is pretty clearly romantic (i am 4'10, my shoulders are not prominent at all and i have soft flesh and naturally wavy/curly hair, though i'm not sure if i'm pure romantic or theatrical, since i am more narrow than wide), but i'm not sure what my face is. though it's mostly soft, i have a strong neck and strong cheekbones, plus narrow and sharp eyes. i also don't look too off in soft natural lines and i got a lot of compliments when i got a wolf haircut. could i have soft natural or theatrical romantic essence? or maybe a blend of the two? i also have indigenous ancestry, which makes me more confused, since my features couldn't exactly be described as "round" and sometimes i lean one way, while on a different day i lean the other way.

This video help me confirm my body type. I did a quiz online recently and I used the comments i have heard feom others about myself and obvious observation i can't deny to classify myself. Alot people think im a little bit taller than i actually am. They think I have wide hips and but i am not busty in the slightest. I also blunt facial features being from Afriocaribean background, even though i have plump lips, they aren't narrow. I do think i look best with a volumous hair. I perfer my waistline euthanize otherwise i look to childish but when clothes are too figure hungering it looks off for some reason. So that settles it for me that im a soft natural.

This was very helpful! I feel stuck between SN and TR. I have a diamond shaped face with defined bone structure and moderate to thin lips, and fine hair. Very scandinavian.. I have a defined hourglass shape, but feel like my chest and shoulders are wider than the examples of TR. My calfes Are really wide also. The TRS tends to be latinas with slim legs after what I have seen so far 🤔
@lilaeia
@lilaeia 11 ай бұрын
Hi lovely!! 💖 SN and TR are the reverse of each other with regards to bones and flesh. SN is yang bones with yin flesh, and TR is yin bones with yang flesh. I find it easiest to identify the bone structure first, as this will place you within your major family (Dramatic, Classic, Natural, Gamine or Romantic), and then figure out the flesh to determine the subtype within your family. Naturals have much more overall presence and substance than Romantics. If you come across as strong yet feminine, for want of better words!!, then SN sounds like a good fit. Look for angularity in shoulders and jaw in particular. Soft flesh means you have a sense of plumpness to the skin, particularly on the face. Like your skin is well-hydrated. Romantics have a more delicate bone structure, a daintier presence overall and sloped shoulders and less substance in the jaw. To be a TR, you would have more taut skin, following the bone structure of the face rather than plumping out over the cheeks and cheekbones. The heaviness of the brows is also a good indicator - SN will have more strength here and Romantic/TRs lack the intensity of the brows. Finally, the limbs and hands are another indicator. A little more width to the bones in the arms and hands suggests Natural family; more delicate limbs and slightly smaller hands suggests Romantic family. Hope this helps!! 💝😘😇

Hello! I understand that it can be super frustrating to see people making videos speculating about unverified celebrities' Kibbe types--especially if you disagree with their assessments. And I agree that creators shouldn't claim to speak for David Kibbe himself. However, there is absolutely no need to be rude when expressing your disagreement. There are many reasons why creators use unverified celebrity examples in tgeir videos. One, very few creators have direct contact with David Kibbe himself, so most information comes from hear-say, making so-called "Kibbe Celebrity Lists" are difficult to verify. Another reason is that many of the "Kibbe-verified" celebrity lists lack diversity in race, ethnicity, body size, gender identity, gender expression, and age. So many youtubers turn to celebrity speculation as a way to foster inclusivity and create a more welcoming and open-minded environment. A third reason creators why like to speculate about unverified celebrities is that style is ultimately subjective--so they are merely sharing their own opinion and interpretation. While it is possible to objectively verify celebrities' types from Kibbe himself, everybody has the right to their own perspective. Because style is more of an art than a science, there are often no clear right or wrong answers, just what feels best to you. This youtuber is a close friend of mine, so I can guarantee that they don't profit at all from the Kibbe System or their youtube channel. They've also never claimed to be an authority on Kibbe, nor do they think they're point of view is perfect or unquestionable. It's a hell of a lot easier to sit behind a screen and criticize someone and their work than it is to create something and put yourself out there. This youtuber invests a ton of thought and care into their videos, and they respect people who disagree with them. They're very open-minded and anti-dogmatic, so they'll genuinely consider your opinion. You're absolutely welcome to express opinion and do what's best for you--but so are they. There's no need to yell at them to get the point across. Thank you and have a good day.

@hanginwithnyxx7634 hello I have loved your work. And if you take a step back and read my comment again you can see it was not rude at all. I expressed that you should stop using unverified celebrities it is abousletely misleading and makes people have the worng idea for example looking at nikki with full surgery and a angular nose and then think thay is R. But it is all the youtubers so not just you it is a problem I just wish we can see a youtuber that uses verified ones and actually goes by kibbe 100%. In syaing that you videos are one of my favourites to watch but I have taken a detox from kibbe youtubers because the amount of wrong info it ruins everything i learn from kibbe himself in the groups he is in.

@@ssam1820 Thank you for clarifying your position, and for being willing to have an open discussion. The internet can be a very hostile place, so I appreciate you taking the time and energy to calmly respond. Unfortunately, the KZfaq algorithm tends to reward hatred, drama, and fighting among creators as well as viewers. This problem makes it so youtubers are often bullied in their own comment section and in the videos of other youtubers--which is really bad for youtubers' mental health. This can make it very stressful and harmful for youtubers to read angry comments, even if the person posting the comment doesn't think they're being rude. This can happen when people write comments with multiple words in all capitalized letters, which can unitentionally come across as angry shouting. For example, the first phrase looks a lot angrier than the second phrase: "HELLO!?! WHAT ARE YOU DOING!?!" vs. "Hello, what are you doing?" Anyway, I absolutely agree with your point that it's frustrating and confusing to see so much conflicting and contradictory information about the Kibbe System. And I get how it can be controversial and unrealistic to use examples of celebrities after they had plastic surgery, but I include those examples because some of my viewers have had similar plastic surgeries. Haha, I wish David Kibbe would just make his own KZfaq channel, so that way everyone could learn about his styling methods from a direct source! I also had to "detox" from Kibbe for a while because I was so stressed about not being able to figure out my own body's lines. Plus, I felt like the system had too many "rules" and didn't include people like me. There's so much I love about Kibbe's methods, but I've also encountered a lot of disrespectful, body-shaming, and exclusive content while trying to learn his system. I don't blame David Kibbe for any of these problems, but I decided to try to make a difference by creating a channel for people who were struggling with the same issues as me. I started KZfaq with the intention of purposefully expanding outside of the Kibbe system so that people could experiment with breaking some of the "rules". To be fair, I acknowledge that this approach will upset some people, so I'm planning on putting a disclaimer in my videos to clarify that I'm using unverified celebrities and breaking the "rules". So, if you're looking for a 100% Kibbe purist, my channel will probably not satisfy your needs. But I wish you the best of luck, happiness, and success in your Kibbe journey! Haha, and thank you for reading this massive post!
