This was the first Star Wars movie that I didn't watch when it first came out. I ended up watching it a year later and it was just...bland.

Lando and his femdroid is most likely an obscure reference to a Legends book called Fate of the Jedi: Allies where he keeps femdroids around him to make prospecting more bearable.

Peter Serafinowicz was supposed to reprise his role as Darth Maul in this movie and he already recorded his lines but was replaced by Sam Witwer for some reason. Serafinowicz wasn't happy when he found out about it.

My biggest gripe with this movie has to be how painfully "designed by committee" it is. The plot is nothing but a checklist of story beats they wanted to happen : how Han got off Corellia, how he got his name (ughhh), how he joined the Empire then was kicked out, how he met Chewie, how he joined the criminal underworld, how he met Lando, how he got the Falcon, how he did the Kessel Run in 12 parsecs. It's not a plot, it's a checklist. The only highlight has to be John Powell's fantastic soundtrack.

My favorite excuse by Disney is that "Star Wars fatigue" is what turned away people who have been drowning in EU content for the past four decades

I personally think that this is the best Disney star wars movie by far and at least right now in my life It's in the top 4 or 5 star wars films for me

I just watched Solo (again) yesterday while flying home from Maui. Great movie! Best Star Wars movie in the last twenty-five years!

Kessel was way off from its EU depiction. Qeera was there just to have her own show later on as a strong lead female character or whatever... The entire film is 🤮

They miscast Han, and a bad script, poor cinematography. Bad cgi. You can recover from one or two broken things in a movie but not everything wrong with this one.
