Starting small, we are walking in another beautiful part of Cornwall enjoying the moors and the sea, whilst trying to get to grips with some camping equipment. As usual Nancy Drew is on best behaviour and keen to show you why you should consider adopting an ex-racer (and it’s not just because they are horribly cute 🥰)
A little about us: I adopted my ex-racing greyhound Miss Nancy three years ago, it was a massive learning curve for both of us and we have become the best of friends, who love going on outdoor adventures, wild swims, van camping and finding vegan food out and about! We make videos showing what it’s like to have a greyhound as a pet, the beautiful outdoors, vanlife, and life with a greyhound!

My mum used to home Greyhounds for the retired Greyhound trust. Lovely gentle dogs make lovely pets ..

Thank you for your stand against greyhound racing, it is a cause near and dear to my heart. Although we don't have legal greyhound racing here in South Africa there is still an illegal market and they are used for hunting, poorly treated and discarded. Greyhounds are the sweetest most loving dogs in the world and they don't shed! My boy passed away last year and it was so painful, but I take solace in that I was able to save him from a life of horror and abuse. They say that greyhounds have such big chests because they have such big hearts.

That is so sad to hear, sounds a bit like the poor Spanish galgos. Greyhounds are the sweetest! And it’s true they hardly shed, as well as just being the biggest cutest babies in the world. I’m sorry you lost your boy, you gave him the happy life he deserved though. Will you get another? I hadn’t heard any one say that before and it nearly made me cry, they do have such big soft chests 🥹

I've lost 2 in the last year, my boy and the gorgeous girl in my profile pic only recently, she was a mix, canis africanus. I have another 2 rescues actually, a whippet and a little fellow of unknown origin. @@missnancysdayoff

Perfect spot, does not get much better, I know it well. At 21:24 it sounded like chough calling, this location is a good place to see them. Wild camping is the most beautiful experience, start small as you are, you could do with a small wind shield for your camp stove. 💜

I think it’s one of my favourite spots in Cornwall this far. I will look for a wind shield, and hopefully move onto some simple cooking! 💕

Seen a couple of your films i think they are great i used to live in st just rosemergey is one of my favourite places the remains of bronze age round houses in the fields and the scenery breathtaking and the tidal pool at priests cove at the Cape was one of my favourite places to take my daughter swimming

@@missnancysdayoff it's is beautiful and the views are amazing, I hope one day you and miss Nancy do go to the nine maidens and ding dong mine stack,if you look on the map "men and tol" is a short distance from there also,but best to do this on a dry day it can get extremely boggy and wet up on those moors,stick to the paths as there are alot of old mine shafts around the ding dong mine stack,😊

Very well said about freedom and watching others on youtube etc. It's easy to compare yourself to others and have unrealistic expectations based on someone else's 'highlight reel'. I very much agree with you that one can easily find adventures in every day routines, no matter how and where you live, it just takes a little bit of effort and imagination. :)

@@missnancysdayoff Strangely enough Scotlands weather is great in Spring, May (or has been in recent years) albeit summer months are decent (varies though lol). Regardless the countryside and greenery is Scotland is 2nd to none. I’ve been lucky enough to travel to 50+ countries over the years (mostly work) and I’d never move away from Scotland. For me it’s one of the most picturesque countries in the world! 🏴🌎⭐️

Love the bond between you two, such great adventure companions, I love getting away in my van but when I can’t I have to head out on mini adventures as often as I can. I think we need to start a campaign to get the word Rockoli into the dictionary, sounds like a broccoli based punk band! Hope you and the amazing Miss Nancy have a great week together 🥦🐶❤️

Another sweet clip. Well done for climbing up there whilst carrying 500 kgs of dog treats. You're so right about how badly dogs are treated by some people and also about the importance of breaking out of your routine. As the saying goes, "enjoy the little things in life because one day you'll realise that they were the big things"

Another chill vid cheers for the content. Have you tried any of the cheap windshields you can get from Amazon for your microphone? There's all sorts of shapes and sizes. Loved the jazzy, upright bass track playing over the trail climb section. Nancy was so cute when she whined about the spikey bush lol

thank you glad you enjoyed 🙏 the micro phone i got a while ago (which is a rhode video micro) has a windshield, but honestly it’s totally useless. i was using it the video previous to this one and it sounded even worse its like it picks up my voice, then the wind separately, I nearly cried when I heard how bad it all was. and it’s soooo windy here! I loved that music too! she is hilarious poor girl 🤣 ‘I’d really rather not mother but if you insist!’

This spot is further along nearer zennor but I just looked and the Tinners way does go alone there! How hard a bike is that? Sounds awesome but probably beyond my mountain bike capabilities

You just need to be fit! as its bridleway/tracks and no hard/technical stuff, lovely in the summer, even in peak season its quiet up there........ I wouldn't ride it until the better weather though, as it gets very boggy in winter and wouldn't be much fun. HTH Cheers . 👍

Loved the sound of the wind and the scenery , fantastic ! I recommend you get yourself a ' guille kettle ' much better for camping , ya just need a few twigs to boil 2 litres of water in under 3 minutes ! I use one on the boat.. Greyhounds are loverly placid companions that love creature comforts until they see a rabbit lol Can't wait to see peggies rabbit vlog 😆 .. P.s il also be praying she never catches one ...

I just looked it up and that kettle looks amazing I would love that! Do you cook on top of yours? Haha well naturally Nancy Drew does like rabbits, but thankfully she’s only ever chased one once, it was just for fun though she knew she wouldn’t get it! I too pray she never catches one I wouldn’t like that at all 😖

you will discover that anything prepared and eaten outside tastes better and is generally more satisfying. that stanley adventure cup might be the most-used piece of gear i own. if you're going to be doing more of this then you definitely want one to call your own.

Do enjoy watching your adventures! Found your channel a while ago after researching greyhounds as am looking to adopt in the new year. Just need to find the right one that will gell with my couple of rescue cats! Didnt know about selling greyhounds to China! 🙁

Could ND cope with doggy boots if there is such a thing? So it was Miss Nancy's Day Out rather than MNDOFF? It all looked very exhilarating, I wonder if you could ride an electric or mountain bike in that terrain? I wouldn't have thought so but you dare devils will stop at nothing to get your kicks right? Like hang-gliding or descending 1000s of feet in a submersible; the last ones who tried diving to a great depth including a billionaire were killed when their craft imploded from too much pressure from the weight of the water on top of them. What floats my boat is finding fame and fortune as a modern poet and writer; even at 76 I still fantasise about being discovered like a latter day Jim Morrison. I loved that cool double bass music you used, it reminded me of the old beatnik days. 💥💥💥💥💥

I’m pretty sure I couldn’t cycle up there! A proper mountain bike probably could, I’m more of a beginner in that field! Little boots would stop her feet getting muddy but I don’t know if she would like it. Me too I love the strings I used to play the cello 🎻

i promise she does have a nice warm jacket, it’s just when she’s walking she gets super hot so I only put it on when it’s really cold! but when she lies down she gets chilly 🥶

You're both doing amazing. The warmer is brilliant. You tip on a cold day is to turn the fuel canister upside down as it forces the gas put in low temperatures! I'm still loading around so an walk, making a brew, a wind shelter with a small backpack is within my remit with snacks for humans and animals alike. I hope that you're both well? X

@missnancysdayoff no rustler clothes requited, just camo painted faces and hiding from other people until you're safe to jump out and scare them! 🤣🤣 I always carry bits with me for an impromptu shelter from the wind / rain, as well as to sit back with a small fire to make a hot drink and / or a warm meal whilst watching the beautiful scenery. I would still say a vegan hot chocolate after a wild swim, but I'm finding that too cold at the moment. 🥶 Admittedly, I don't carry any recording equipment with me. X

Outdoors cooking sounds great that's that advantage of micro adventures - it's ok to carry more weight. Woman make fire! Nice to be able to do it the ancient way with a flint 😊 I thought drag hunting was ok or are the psychopaths using it as a smokescreen like the do for trail hunting ? Great boots, shame they're splitting.

thank you 😊 i was surprised I actually got that flint thing working 🤣 it was super satisfying I’m looking forward to some more outdoor cooking! okay I just looking up drag/trail hunting to check what I was talking about. I actually don’t know whether he said drag or trail or whether I mixed the words up, I did mean trail hunting, which as you say is just a smoke screen for actual hunting! saying wrong words seems to be a habit of mine 🫣 thanks I love those boots, I only noticed when I was editing this video that they are all split open! they’ve had a lot of wear but it’s still sad.

Thanks for taking me on such an invigorating walk, I couldn't have done it without you. I feel too pooped after all that exercise to go to your website to see if you could make me a solid gold cygnet ring with a black stone in it and a pentagram inscribed on the stone. I feel that if it was made by you you could put a magic charm on it to ward off the evil eye. I am serious about this depending on the cost. You had a lovely smile today and you looked really cool in your outdoor clothes but a pony tail might have made ou look even cooler.

Hi Tori, I know you're still grieving over that old hound who the council would have taken away for free I think but I still 'Wanna be your dog' by The Stooges: raw and hard. I suppose you've now got 2 options, either pursue a career to make money for your future or else get married and have some real children. My only wish is that I could live long enough to have my small private estate in the country well away from human noise and interference. But the odds are totally against me. It's looking like I've backed the wrong horse with my American publicist. I had to 'lean' on her today thru a strongly worded message. I can't make a complaint against Atmosphere Press to the Better Business Bureau because I don't live in the US. I'll have to spend the rest of my days in this care home nurrsing a broken heart but where I know I'll get taken care of. So you know where I am if you ever decide to take me away from all this. (Your Heathcliff till I depart from this world a sad and lonely old man.)

The USA because despite the forces of darkness trying to strangle the life out of it they're still more broad minded than the anally retentive UK. It seems like it's dead from the neck up and waist down; really limp wristed here. I told you my American Publicist is 'out of the office' till Friday. I don't know if it's coincidence but she disappeared v shortly after my $1,000 was in Atmosphere Press's bank account. It's as well I'm resigned to my lowly fate or else I might think she's done a runner with my dosh, tho'that $1,000 wouldn't get you very far or last very long these days. I'm hoping I'll get some recognition before I meet THE GRIM REAPER.@@missnancysdayoff
