To help with clean up in your drawer space try using 99 cent store placemats at the bottom. That way you can remove them and clean rather than having to get on hands and knees to clean. You could also try using the drawer liner that’s waffled like a rug gripper to line your pots and pans drawer to keep the bottom from getting so worn. Love your channel and content.

Liz, could i suggest baby-lock fridge and cabinet safety locks that you can attach to the side and handles of the fridge to keep them locked. This can help prevent the doors from swinging open when you're driving. :)

@@ddev7376 ...I do know IPs take power, but lots of RV people (We're the Russos for one) cook on the IP & don't have a problem. My thoughts are...she probably has solar (not sure), but my thoughts are also...if she wants solar, she can get it! IP cooking is worth checking into for her! I put a chicken leg & thigh (leg quarter) a handful of carrots & two potatoes & my fav. seasonings...it only takes 20 minutes (maybe less) to cook the whole dinner. No mess, no fuss & the flavor is great! One small pot to wash! It's really worth her time to check into! Smiles & thanks for your reply! Judie

You need a pressure cooker not those electric pots you get this is different... Believe me, you will love it. It saves nutrition, less use of propane,saves time n it takes just 10-15min max. to cook beans n lentils as well. You can cook everything in it. Veggies, sauces, soups, beans, lentils, one pot food, n even cake 😉

Hi Liz, I also recommend bananas for your leg spasms, if you like them. I get massive leg spasms when my potassium is low. A banana helps in a very short time for me, and having one a day for two or three days every couple of months does the trick. If I keep that up, the spasms are stopped. Omg I didn't even know they had the everything bagel toppings in a jar! Yes!!! I so need to get some. I'm glad you didn't edit out the boil over. Happens to us too...real life happenings lol. I'm also trying to figure out how we will deal with produce scraps. At home we don't have a sink disposal so I bag them up and keep them in the freezer so the trash bin doesn't stink up the house. When we bring the trash out for collection, I empty out the frozen scraps in the outgoing bag. We are undecided between two fridge styles, one with and one without a freezer. Not sure what we will go with yet...but it does have me wondering the best way to store food scraps so we don't stink up the van. We will be spending time wild camping as well as site visiting, so we need to figure out these little things like keeping any garbage from stinking while we are out in nature. Also, congrats on 100k subscribers! Love your channel!

Carrie DosSantos Simplehuman makes trashcans with an airtight lid. They are pricey, but every now and then you can get one on a sale, if you’re not in a hurry. Have one in my kitchen for compost stuff. No smell, even in high summer. I put a handful of those pressed pellets meant for cats toilets in the bottom to soak up any fluids. Works great and they look nice, as well.
@carried9130

@raraavis7782
@raraavis7782 5 жыл бұрын
Carrie DosSantos Diaper pails are also an option, if you use trash bags. I liked the simplehuman trash can better, because with the pellets in the bottom, I can just dump everything out without having to worry about compostable bags...but if the stuff goes into a regular trashcan anyway, diaper pails might be a cheaper option. And if they can contain baby poop smell, I‘m sure they work for rotten fruits as well 😆

Did you ever figure out why your water tasted like PVC? Well it doesn’t taste like PVC!!!! Almost every drop of community water flows through PVC pipe and leave no taste. Your problem is your garden hose that you use to fill your tank. A regular garden hose is continually out gassing chemicals which is ok for watering your yard or garden. You need to buy a hose specifically made for RVing. Flush your tank real good (using the new hose) and if I were you I would use and in-line filter as an added measure. Good luck and stay wild by the mile not mild by the while.

They make electrical pans also. Plugs in and has different settings, so u don't use so much propane. Also, a small rice cooker helps!! So u can still enjoy your favorite rices which cooks in 20 minutes as opposed to using propane for boiling potatoes for 30 minutes, which eats up yoyr propane also! Just a few helpful suggestions from a full time RV'er. Best of luck to you darlin. And btw, you are farrr from thick sweet girl, you are adorable😀✌

Us More Mature folks have been useing cutting boards over out sinks sence the 60's, if you don't want your drawers to come open while driving. you can buy the baby locks there easy to use and put on, we live on a farm and we use progane. so I'm very careful with the amount I use. and I grew up camping and I have aways had a camper of some sort (tent.small trailer, Up to the BIG! RV) and you always need to watc how you use your propane, and yes get rise of the scraps.

I saw in another van tour from someone here on KZfaq (I don't remember her name). She had pans where you can remove the handle and click it on other pots and pans, my best guess it's probably a set. By being able to remove the handle, she had more space. Maybe look into it? You can then also easily use the pot or pan as a plate.

Go buy a box of Arm & Hammer Baking Soda. Open it and stick it in the back of your fridge. It'll rid your fridge of any odors plus will keep your veggies crispy longer. Switch the box out once a month and just throw away the old box. Unless you have a holding tank, then just dump it in the toilet and flush it into the holding tank. Love your topic based videos!
