Of all the campervans I've seen, yours is the only one that suits my heart the best, starting from the layout of the room, it's very practical, but why don't you just use the cupboard as a toilet? Because for me, the main thing about a campervan is just the bed and toilet, not so much the kitchen. It's important that cooking can be done outside the car, it's more fun and safer🤔

Traveling from the east coast having my van will be a game changer, but all of my friends urged me to somehow transport all of my stuff to a trailer and find someone with a hitch?! or some other similar move. I have an all black, pristine van too… but I got it for events and festivals… Thanks for the reassurance at the least. Great vid :)

I love this conversation so much. It’s hard to get my mom to understand my path for wanting to start vanlife. There are past reasons why, like my best friend passing away unexpectedly during her vanlife journey, but I just want her to understand that is a huge part of my reason why.. and that not everything that is different than the norm is scarier than most peoples average life. She looks at all the bad and forgets to see the good and I can’t wait til the day she understands and can see what it’s all about.

2/21/2023 Maybe you could get free Dropps by showing how you use them on your 'Wild by the Mile' and showing them on your shelf, close up, easy to read, for about fifteen seconds while you talk about something else, every show. You will probably like Dropps laundry detergent pods! They are plant based, arrive in the mail once a week or once a month or once a year. You choose out of about three real scents (lavender, rosemarie, lemon) or choice of no scent (good if you have a pet bird as they can die from too much perfume). Lemon is really strong and best for football uniforms, probably not the best choice with pets in a van. This arrives in a really small, light weight, super clean cardboard box, which you can compost later. Dropps also sells dishwasher pods that work great! Be careful to have dry hands when you reach in the box or they will stick together. Be careful to leave in secure drawer that won't get wet inside. Be careful to keep it out of reach of pets, toddlers, teenagers desperate to impress their peers with a new daily challenge to get 'popular instantly' by swallowing a laundry pod. I have also seen outdoor portable solar powered power stations, that can be recharged from sunlight this may be very useful to have, to power your devices. *Invest in a Cellular signal booster for outdoor use, and camping situations to boost or amplify your cell signal and reception. Consider also the purchase of a WiFi signal booster to also boost your WiFi signal. Research to see what you prefer. *Very Inportant: Invest in a SOS distress electronic signal device, this a kind of device can send out a distress signal with your exact location. There are various types of these devices, and including devices that can be used when boating, or camping situations. *Some have emergency Strobe lights SOS signaling with location alerts, and location updates that can be sent to your family, and emergency first responders. Some can be synchronized with your smart watch or phone. There are some satellite SOS texting messaging, locator devices that will send messages with your phone even if there isn’t any cellular signal, or WiFi. With this device your can still text, and communicate with others in a emergency satellite transmission. Check online, for various emergency SOS products, some are small to fit in the palm of your hand. Keep in often contact with your family, friends etc. Keep up with the latest Weather Updates, beware and prepare for unexpected Weather events and conditions. Keep your vehicle gas filled Don’t chance your Safety by running your vehicle fuel or gas too close to Empty. Fill it up anyway, it will save you alot of time, and headache later on. Remember to keep up on routine maintenance, check your tires for wear, keep up with your fluids for your vehicle, like oil levels, washer fluid, brake fluid, antifreeze. Remember Because you are on the road riding for sometimes very long distances, and long periods of time, I would suggest investing in 2 sets of tires, and a spare, the extra set to rotate. Check the mileage ratings on your tires they all very. Conduct visual inspections of your tires often, check for damage, wearing, air pressure, etc Keep a pressure gauge to check your tires pressure and a tire pump. Keep towing, road assistance, hazard insurance to Be Safe if you ever need it for a vehicle break down. It Doesn’t cost much try to get National coverage if available, or where you will be traveling. Keep Extra financing, and savings for any unexpected issues, vehicle repairs, and overnight stays, in a emergency or if you need to rest indoors. How about just building it right the first time. Adding heat, hot water etc. Those are things that are needed and should have been installed during the initial build. This why some people quit van life because they get coached into building an ill equipped rig then discover they need all those things and just give up. Why would anyone build a van without heat or hot water. Two things that are not luxuries. And if you're going to live in it without a bathroom. These DIY builds come with many shortfalls. Travel safe.

If it's below zero, just don't shut the engine and use the heat. It won't burn much fuel. Must make sure the exhaust pipe won't get blocked by snow.

Blankets won't help much. In that kind of temperatures I use two sleeping bags.

I, too, am an OKIe girl from Lawton. Have you looked in to a heated bedpad?? When I lived in Ohio I had one and it was great! It would keep your mattress soft while you are in it.

Cover the engine area too. It collects a lot of heat and a canvas tarp over the top will keep the driver's area much cooler. Cover the front doors on the outsie using strings to keep in place after wind comes up.
