So grateful to you for sharing your thoughts and feelings about your special life. There is a big part of me that longs for those exact feelings, but when I was young, I never imagined that a life like yours was possible. I made other life choices that, though less free, have been rewarding. So it brings me profound joy to share in your freedom. It feeds that hippie pirate in my soul, while I stay at home with those that I love. Thank you so much!

Fantastic monologue from a true wind hippie! Probably just me but when you finished talking and cut to video of the waves and the sound of the seas, I got Jean Michel Jarre's Oxygene playing as a soundtrack in my head. So glad for the "spoiler" that the yard stay was a success. Keep on trucking... If that's appropriate 😉

I wanted to do what your doing holly. Then I got pregnant. The similarities between sailing and moming are so similar. I wake up to a beautiful view every morning. My baby girl smiling at me. But it's also a TON of work. But so worth it. Maybe one day she and my husband will catch the sailing the globe bug I can't shake. Until then I will live thru you.

It's funny you say that because I feel like single handing is probably a lot like having a baby. You wake up every 20 to 40 minutes all night or if the boat makes a weird noise

My favourite sailor Girl, thanks Holly for brightening up my squally South African winter day doing boat work on my steel Stadt 34' in preparation for my upcoming single handed Atlantic crossing, which I'm supposed to have already done 😳😳 Nothing besides a Chinese gybe happens quickly on a boat and I've been delayed by a worldwide shortage of 1" polished 316 stainless steel tube amongst other things, Fair winds and following seas, maybe our paths will cross somewhere out there. Stay safe

They have beand new 2.5 to 4 hp, 2 stroke outboards engines. Perfect for your dinghy. They're on E-bay and Amazon, fir approx $230.00 shipped. It only weighs 22 lbs and is a short shaft. You could even make a wooden transom in your cockpit, when underway. Or make a transom below deck so it's out if sight. We all think you deserve one by now. 😎 ❤ ⛵ ⛵

Great to hear that you are headed west again, and that you are feeling so energized about it! Please continue to include some of the more technical aspects of your voyage, and details like strategies for solo sailing off your anchor, getting in and out of anchorages, and provisioning. Those things are interesting and educational for the wannabes (like me). Oh, and on the WH tie-dye shirt- I love it, and IMO how could it be any other color? The first time I wore mine out, two people remarked that they really liked it, and then of course I had to provide the back-story :^)
