Understand Part 6 - this is not a suggestion, but a threat. Welcome to symmetry land, where the puzzles' rules have something to do with symmetry, and you have to figure out the rest. Good luck!

Ah, when I said “more of the game” I meant the maingame stuff, world , and the start of world 0. 7-? has been my only required hint so far, but plenty of levels are still highly difficult, though I’ll admit the difficulty curve has sort of smoothed out. So, I’ll just say this for minimal spoilers: the game doesn’t stop being mindfucky.

Sounds about right. Moreover, the board you solve is the opposite of the board you see (as in, opposite number in the board order) - that's why the board 4 had a mirror of itself. Oh, I bet if you went back to boards 1, 2 and 3 after beating the level - you would see the lines you drew in boards 7, 6 and 3 on them.

6-? is this: start on circle, hit all stars, avoid triangle, and end on square but you have to use the mirror of the shapes on the opposite level! So level 6-?-1 uses the mirror of the shapes on 6-?-7, 6-?-3 uses 6-?-5 etc. That's why the second line appears on 6-?-4 because it's its own mirror

@junebug413
@junebug413 2 жыл бұрын
^^ this basically. i think tyler needs to start looking at all the boards in those levels first. he's approaching it from a first to last sort of mentality, and while it works sometimes, the meta levels put a lot more emphasis on the connectivity of each board, rather than a puzzle confined to a singular board. he did just wake up before finishing that world tho, and has followed this line of thinking before in the other worlds, so i can't blame him completely, he just kinda stumbled through that one lol

6-? Followed the symmetry theme: In the rest of world 6-, it was about symmetry of things on the board, (The line, covered sections, uncovered sections, etc.). What I understood is that 6-? Was a symmetry of the stages where 6-?-1 was symmetrical with 6-?-7 and so on to the middle (6-?-4). For example, if you lined all the levels up in a straight line in order, it was as if the levels themselves were mirroring each other, which is why the ghosts of the previous levels only started appearing in level 4, and also why you controlled the mirror of the line in that level... It was mirroring itself. It's very similar to the mirror levels in the witness if they were spread across different level panels in the game. If you see this I hope it could help you and I hope what I wrote made sense. Either way, love your vids and keep up the good work, you are one of the only youtube channels where I watch consistently and don't skip any videos so, you are doing an amazing job :) P.S. 6-? is one of my favorite puzzles in the game! *Rule spoilers:* . . . The ghost lines are each a mirror across the vertical axis of whatever line you draw on the symmetrical opposite screen/sublevel of 6-? as a whole. So since there are 7 screens, what you draw in screen 1 gets a mirrored ghost line in screen 7, and vice-versa. Same with 2/6, 3/5, and 4 on itself. So the meta/outside-the-box concept is that now there's symmetry across the level as a whole that you need to work with, rather than just an individual screen. From there you can use screen 4 + 1/7 to determine that the rules are all dependent on the ghost line and its respective screen. The specific rules are that you need to draw a line on each screen such that its _ghost line_ is (1) starting on a circle, (2) ending on a square, (3) passing through all stars, (4) not passing through any triangles. Then it's just a series of cross-reference puzzles to win.

I didn't understand 6-? at first either. I eventually understood that had to do with the layout of the puzzels mirrored from the center, but didn't figure out the exact consept/rules before I revisited the level once the video reached it. The special concept is
that the symbols for each puzzle isn't on the puzzle you draw but mirrored in the puzzle that is an equal distance on the other side of the middle puzzle. To think of it in another way, the actual line for the puzzles is the faded one on the other puzzle; the line you draw is the input and represents the puzzle's line but is not the one interacting with symbols (that the rules are checked against). If you thus draw a solution for the symbols visible on a puzzle you could go to the mirrored puzzle and trace the faded line to get the correct solution for that puzzle without having to memorize the positions of the symbols.
The rules used in the puzzle (excluding the concept mentioned above) are:
1. Start the line in Circle 2. End the line in Square 3. Collect all Stars 4. Don't collect any Triangles
For 6-6: maybe you needed to visualize grabbing the line, rotating/flipping it symmetrically somehow, and being able to connect all the circles with it

This was the hardest world for me. All the other ones I at least usually knew what was going on, but this one I got stuck a lot in.

So basically, the 6-? levels are basically the end of symmetry island from The Witness? Where you draw yellow on the board, and opposite of that, is a rotated and/or flipped version of the same puzzle in blue? Because I looked up the rules, and it's really basic stuff, like start on circle, end on square, collect all stars, and avoid triangle.

6-6 is probably to make a line without touching the circles so that if the line you drew was overlapped some way it can touch all the circles

For 6-4-3, it has to be symmetrical for every star it goes through, which is why filling all the spaces didn't work

For 6-6 you needed to hit the spots horizontally symmetrical to the circles

I think the rule for 6-6 is if you flip the line vertically in the middle of the box, you touch all the circles.

6-6-7s rule was you have to make a path that would cover the circles if they were symmetrically flipped
