Bonnie’s debut album was released in 1971. She toured and perfomed relentlessly, running under the radar for almost 20 years until her break out album Nick Of Time won a Grammy in 1989. Luck Of The Draw in 1991 was the next album winning three Grammys including Best Pop Female Performance for Something To Talk About. In 2000 Bonnie Raitt was inducted into The Rock and Roll Hall of Fame.

All great songs with great piano! If A&A want to choose: The Way It Is is an insightful commentary on racial injustice; Mandolin Rain is a wistful look at lost love prompted by hearing bluegrass music; Every Little Kiss describes missing one's lover when working far from home (maybe an extended stint on a fishing boat). Another great window on Bruce's piano is the Chaka Kahn song "Love Me Still"-- absolutely gorgeous piano shares the spotlight with beautiful vocals by Chaka.

Probably the best female guitarist in her style of music (country/blues/rock) ever. And, I would rate her up there with some of the best.
