This made me laugh quite alot, like the main person is too sensitive. Like they're having mental breakdowns, they're shaking of fear, they're stomach is turning and aching and they feel the need to puke because the game is little different and have weird textures and stuff. There isn't even blood or gore or anything disturbing lol the second part got more serious but still there was funny moments like how they describe how they're unable press block or turn off the computer because they're hands shake and stomach turns again that much lmfao

I really love how the game in the story isn't haunted or just supernatural, but something more realistic and I think that is what makes it so scary. Cause there are crazy people in real life that can do something like this to games. Also, I think I understand the plot of the hacked game, Sonic takes the role of the obsessed stalker/ murder that kidnapped and killed the woman named Sally Anderson. I think what happened in the plot was that the killer/ stalker represented as Sonic was maybe a friend or lover of Sally Anderson, but something happened that caused them to break up and Knuckles and Tails taking the role of I guess her new lover and her friend trying to protect Sally Anderson from Sonic. But they where still able to get to her and killer her.

Also, the part of the game that shows the blonde Sally clones represents what the killer/ stalker did to Sally Anderson after killing her. Cutting her up and putting in the was and floors of their house. And I think the Sonic characters that appeared at the funeral for Sally, I think represented Sally Anderson's friends and family as well as the police that tried to find her, but they couldn't cause of how the killer/ stalker put Sally Anderson' s body in the walls and floors of their house. Also, I referred to the killer/ stalker as they cause it was never stated if the killer/ stalker was male or female.

While I do agree that the reactions of the characters seem a bit extreme, I do feel like the idea of something you know really well getting twisted can have an effect on someone, like just messing with a loved one

Good to see you cover more pastas dude. I really like this one, but it drove me insane just how delayed the narrator's reaction was. He didn't bother calling the police for AN ENTIRE WEEK when the romhacker had pretty much confessed to a murder, and could've been easily tracked down by authorities through his account/IP. And then we don't even know what happened to neither him or the murderer... kind of an abrupt ending. Otherwise, yes, it's pretty much one of the best Sonic 'pastas out there. Was good to see you cover it!

Your analysis at the end was exactly what I was thinking. The second half was actually unsettling. Your narration especially really captures that tense insanity of the chatroom part. The Sonic community has always had a bit of mystique to me. I had a “Sonic phase” when I was middle-school age and I remember the countless forums, info sites and fan projects out there. A lot of these places were… strangely “adult”. I steered clear of those communities and eventually grew out of the phase, but I still viscerally feel those suspicions that there was something dark and weird beneath the comically unseemly enthusiasm for a speedy blue mascot and his animal friends. I personally think the "psycho" in the forum is just some weirdo who lied about being the maker of the hack. Also you going all out for the acting and then turning around like "Yeah this makes no sense" is hilarious. Overall, great content!

There are so many logic holes in this pasta that I'm not even going to talk about them. The writer tries way to hard to be verbose, and mentions an egregious amount of unnecessary amount of useless and redundant information. I'd love to see if she'd do a remake of this story.

The pacing is a little weird because it goes from 10 to 100 in the final act, which has nothing to do with the actual game. But i still think this is one of the best gaming creepypastas in general. I personally found the rythm of the story to be solid, like alot of personal building to get attached to the people involved, if a little childish with some reactions and shock value. But i think it's because of that level of detail that it then makes the final bit so powerful

An oldie that I occasionally think about from time-to-time due to how absurd it is and the fact it was clearly made during the height of the Archie Sonic comics popularity given the usage of Sally Acorn (and also due the fact SatAM wasn't mentioned *at all* when talking about Sally). The concept is interesting enough, it's just the execution was undercooked beyond belief. Much like every other gaming creepypasta, there's either little to no effort to flesh out the characters, story and concept or the author just does the reverse and tries to flesh everything out but clearly failed in some aspects and then suddenly they just get straight to the finale without trying to actually explain anything or even what's happening at that rate. And if you notice throughout the story, not once does the author make the narrator mention the various noticeable changes done to Sonic 3 such as level design, enemy layout or even item placement. Music apparently being weird and the overuse of the color 'green' is pretty apparent, but other than that it's implied that all that was changed was the intro, Sonic still having all seven Chaos Emeralds and the cutscenes for Angel Island catching on fire and the random lore dump happening throughout the story being only at Hidden Palace for some unexplained reason. On top of that, I really question if the author actually played Sonic 3 & Knuckles or if they just heard about the game and saw a few screenshots of it because not only is it implied they've been on *Angel Island Zone* this entire time, but there isn't any mention of Hydro City, Marble Garden or any other Zone in the game, not even Hidden Palace is mentioned by name and instead is simply referred to as the "Super Emerald Shrine", but also for some reason the author makes the narrator surprised to be in Hidden Palace (even though earlier it was partly acknowledged that Sonic still had all the Chaos Emeralds after the opening). And the fact that they somehow also have already collected almost all the Super Emeralds, which would be impossible unless the level design for *both acts* was modified to have *more* Giant Rings in place of the hidden Item Monitors. For those unaware and haven't played the game long enough or in a long time or haven't done enough research on the game, the earliest you can obtain the Super/Hyper Transformation is either in Hydro City Act 2 (provided you obtained every Chaos/Super Emerald from the previous acts unless you're playing as Knuckles who can't reach the Giant Rings in Angel Island Act 2 without the use of Debug Mode) or Marble Garden Act 1 as the latter has *eight* Giant Rings. Also, if the author made the images then they made a major mistake for the result screen. The game never displays and Super Emeralds obtain directly on the result screen, meaning the image would be impossible to replicate. Also, for some unexplained reason, the unused 'Gold' pallet is included with the other Super Emeralds meaning they somehow got *eight* Super Emeralds instead of seven. Although if I had to guess, the author (or whoever made the images) probably didn't realize that there's some pretty big inconsistency with the colors of the Emeralds throughout the early years. Again, so much of this creepypasta feels like it's trying to somewhat ride the fame of the Archie Sonic comics (again, Sally's inclusion and no mention of SatAM, Sally's original debut) while also being one of those "nostalgia gone wrong" creepypastas that just ran rampant during the 2010s. I imagine if a more competent writer took it upon themself to give this creepypasta a proper story, it would be much better compared to the original. Like I said, the story feels undercooked. Too little time explaining the games themselves and what's been changed significantly and too much time repeating the same sentences over and over again, constantly mentioning the narrator needs to throw-up because of all the green pixels on screen and going with the usual clichéd ending of having the narrator's life being threatened by someone who kinda just comes outta nowhere.

Whoever is playing the game over you talking needs to practice more.

honestly one of my biggest issues with creepypastas like these has to be the narrator the guy talks like he's a autistic book author instead of a normal guy retelling a very weird supernatural experience dude got a lack of casual dialect, dude gives attention to detail in the weirdest parts of the stories like how he goes into detail about Sally having blonde hair and how she hasn't met knuckles when she had blonde hair dude, just say "Sally had her old design which made even less sense compared to her being in the game in the first place" not to mention how dramatic the dude is and how he just refused to tell his friend that he fucked up and he accidentally got a hack
