Seeing a chaos emerald, Agent Stone having his own Cafe, and seeing a full first look of Knuckles, it was everything I was hoping for. Let's hope this movie goes crazy and has fun.

Here's a theory. When sonic said "face it. You're never going to get my power." He knew what knuckles was. He knew that his people were after his powers before and so he assumes that knuckles is too

I like the fact that when sonic is about to face off with knuckles he says “face it you will never get my power” which is a call back to how sonic first met the echidnas that raided his home to steal his power. He is probably stuck on the mind set that knuckles was apart of that group and is after sonic for the same reason the other echidnas were.

You missed TWO major ones. At the beginning of the trailer, we see Sonic on a rooftop at night, overlooking passing cars, getting ready for some action, which is LITERALLY the opening for Sonic Adventure 1. Also after dynamite was knocked into the sewers, water shot out of the manholes, just like they did in Sonic Adventure before Chaos' big mass murder scene (which I have a long standing theory for Chaos in these movies, but I don't think that applies here, it was just the dynamite, and just an easter egg). Knuckles, who was part of the tribe that tried to kill (or capture) Sonic as a child, said he doesn't need Sonic's power. Longclaw died claiming that Knuckles' tribe were after Sonic's power. So if Knuckles is now saying that isn't the case, then WHY was Tikals father trying to capture or kill Sonic? (which leads to my Chaos theory again).

Considering the master emerald and the echidna clan exists, a water monster called Chaos is what wiped out most of the echidna’s. Which if that’s true I’m also hoping that chao’s will come into play

i love how the same but different Eggman's eggpods look in this movie. like we went from robots that would look real in our world but because he was off Earth for a while, turned them more into insects that were possibly easier in different "levels" he explored. that and learning more fire power was needed so the size and shape help. love the evolution to the Eggman we know and love/hate.

The chaos emerald, knuckles’ knuckles having red energy around them is awesome and could foreshadow something more about their powers, hopefully we eventually see the master emerald and Super Sonic

That "Do I look like I need your power?" line got me sold THIS movie is going to be the best video game-to-movie adaptation

I cannot wait for this movie! The first movie was an absolute blast, and I’m glad the studio seems to have let the creators/director do what they wanted to do with this sequel! Cannot wait to see Jim Carrey on the big screen again as Robotnik… and PUMPED to hear Idris’ voice of Knuckles in this movie! The first game I EVER played was Sonic The Hedgehog 2 on the SEGA Genesis, so of course I will be supporting these movies, and the fact that these are amazing FAMILY movies. My girlfriend and her 8 year old daughter BOTH loved the first movie, and I cannot wait to take them to see this in the theater with now my son!

Honestly this trailer looks like this will be better than the first one and Tails and Knuckles look so good

05:40 I have a feeling that owls will be sort of rivaling fractions towards echidnas. In Sonic Adventure we knew that echidnas were rather aggressive tribe, enjoying conquering other lands. They wanted to conquer lands of some unknown enemy, that was never mentioned. Here they will probably use this story theme, but expand it that their enemies will be owls. Owls will represent wisdom contrasting echidnas aggressivenes.

Theory: what if knuckles work for eggman because he is also hunting sonic since his species is one of the hunters that tries to hunt sonic. (This is just a guess.)

I got to say that the design for Tails and Knockles are great. The voice actor for knuckles sounds pretty awesome. I just hope hey keep making more Sonic movies after Sonic 2 and 3. I would like to see Shadow and Silver.

Looks really great. Would love a Shadow tease at the end like they did for Tails in the first movie

I feel like there are several possibilities for what that temple we see surrounded by walls of water is with Sonic standing in the foreground. It could be Mystic Ruins zone, Angel Island, or, as far fetched as it sounds, could potentially be the Gaia Temple. Now that I think about it introducing Dark Gaia in the last part of the trilogy would be amazing, maybe with Super Sonic as well.

I'm so hyped for this movie! When I first heard that Idris Elba was going to be knuckles, I was excited. And now seeing it in action is giving me goosebumps!

Seeing Sonic and Tails all bundled up in winter gear was definitely a highlight.

It's unclear whether the Emerald seen in the trailer is intended to be a regular Chaos Emerald (which, if the player collects all 7, can be powered up), a Super Emerald (as named in Sonic & Knuckles and are basically enhanced versions of the other Chaos Emeralds) or the Master Emerald, which control the other Chaos Emeralds.

A couple of things, 1: The opening shot with Sonic on top of a roof is more a reference to SA1's "Aw yeah! This is happening" scene. 2: It's not a death egg, if it fits one person and is meant to bring something or someone back. The big machine near the end of the trailer is a death egg. 3: I'd hardly call G.U.N. a secret government, considering they chase sonic down the street in a giant truck, all of their agents are just out and about, and they really don't hide themselves, And with the introduction of G.U.N. we might see Rouge the bat? She is a G.U.N. agent after all. 4: G.U.N. works alongside sonic and co. The only reason they wanted Sonic in jail was because they thought he stole a bunch of jewels, when really shadow stole them. 5: It's not a chaos emerald unless it's introduced alongside 6 chaos emeralds and a much bigger master emerald. 6: Buzz bombers. Not Buzzer bombers. 7: The mean bean is a reference to the game called "DR. Robotnik's Mean Bean Machine" A Puyo Puyo styled game about stacking different colored "Beans" or "Puyo's" as they're originally called, together, and the bigger the stack Combo, the more beans stack on the opponent, and when you reach the top, you lose. 8: That law is so interesting to me, "If you don't see the body, they might be alive" and, it's really been true throughout all of the entertainment industry, The winter soldier (Or SPOILERS!!! Bucky) fell off the train, and came back as the winter soldier, and in the What-If, Steve fell off he train, and came back in his suit of armor. 9: The death egg isn't powered by a Chaos emerald, but the Master emerald, That's why, even if you do or don't have all 7 chaos emeralds, Eggman steals the master emerald, shocks knuckles, and still uses it to power his Death egg. 10: The reason Knuckles is the last echidna is because Chaos, (H20 monster and protector of the master emerald) Killed them. 11: IT'S NOT THEORY! IT'S HYPOTHESIS!

9:10 If you watch closely,Robotnik's Goggles are broken and similar to the End Credits from the Last Movie,Meaning that this Battle Starts at when Robotnik returns to Earth.

The beginning part of the trailer with Sonic in the city at Night could be a reference to Sonic Adventure 1 where the game starts with Sonic over looking Station Square. I know the robber threw a bomb into the sewers, but the water spewing out reminds me of Chaos from Sonic Adventure 1. This movie is gonna be about Sonic V Knuckles, but I can see the next one being about Chaos then ending the Sonic movies with Shadow. They could also do Metal Sonic, but I would rather see Chaos.

Honestly I think this might actually be the best video game movie ever. It really seems they r delving into the goofiness and the lore of sonic and will give the fans exactly what they want. Even Jim Carrey seems so happy to be back

2:08 I think the screaming face may be a reference to the Sonic Unleashed face. 2:12 A nice little nod to the opening in Sonic Adventure, with Perfect Chaos flooding Station Square, sending manhole covers flying just like here. Loving this so far.

honestly, this looks like a really well made movie from this trailer. the cinematography is pretty good and the gci is also top notch. hopefully the movie doesnt disappoint. im scared it's gonna end up like tmnt 2 (the michael bay one) where they brought back so many beloved characters only for them to be sidelined or one-shotted

Some corrections 1: that so called “death egg” from the scene with the buzz bombers is just his landing pod the death eggs diameter would be about the length of a cargo barge 1.5 what you thought was chaos emerald energy is what I think is the master emerald energy same thing with the actual emerald shown

i think that when sonic fully sees knuckles's appearance he will go to his full power (not super sonic) and a huge fight will break out maybe causing both of them to pass out with none of them winning. or maybe Knuckles wins and sonic runs to his cave for safety and then passes out

Just seeing knuckles blast sonic to the ground while he's spin dashing was all I could ask for

I hope they have Sonic hold a grudge on Knuckles for a long period of time during the movie and not have him pull a 180. That happens too much and that could lead to character developmemt

I was already looking forward to this movie but this trailer now has me really excited.

I love this trailer. From the looks of it to me sonic and tails are gonna go globe trotting to stop Eggman from accessing the chaos Emerald temples and knuckles is helping him because of some prior connection to Sonic since his race was trying to kidnap him in the first movie. Knuckles and sonic both seems capable of harnessing chaos energy though in knuckles case it's all strength based whereas Sonic is speed and Tails is flight. I have a feeling the end game boss of the game is gonna be one of the following 1. Metal Sonic 2. The Death Egg Robot Now if they do metal sonic I suspect SOMEHOW Amy will play a roll... maybe 🤔 cause I would love for sonic to go to his home world and save a bunch of folks and one of them happens to be Amy and she forms a crush on Sonic and follows him back to the human world.

This movie looks awesome! Also, at the risk of sounding like a know it all.. the Master Emerald and the green chaos emerald are 2 different things.. The master Emerald usually is very large and it controls chaos energy, while the green chaos emerald is one of the seven smaller chaos emeralds that grants unlimited power to sonic and it requires at least 50 rings to activate and it will keep going as long as you keep collecting more rings.

Oh man! I loved this trailer so much this truly felt like a Sonic movie unlike the first movie but I think my favorite part of the trailer would probably be when Sonic was snowboarding or when Sonic and Tails were in that bar and he just faints

It’s really great and I hope that for the movie , that Knuckles would team up with Sonic and Tails against Eggman . And for the first time , I hope that Sonic achieves his Super Sonic form . It would be cool with the chaos emeralds while Eggman escape with his robot carrying “THE MASTER EMERALD.”

I'm very excited for this movie it's definitely going to be way better than the first and I really hope this movie does very well at the box office and critically now we all have to be patient and wait so we can watch this movie

The only disappointment I had from the first film was that Sonic didn't call Robotnik "Ro-butt-nik" like he did a lot in the old cartoons. I'm hoping that gets thrown in to this film. Otherwise, like Ghostbusters Afterlife, I am very excited for this film.

I think this trailer is absolutely fantastic. And Idris Elba sounds amazing as Knuckles. His voice is very deep and intimidating which works since Knuckles is gonna be a villain in this movie.

The Master emerald is in the trailer as well, it looks like it's surrounded center of the waterfalls.
