Definitely could matter more than that other recent review made by two certain jackasses that always look for an excuse to pick apart a film, constantly interrupt each other to the point of not getting their full thoughts across, and automatically dislike something that isn’t new or challenges them.

@@myriadmediamusings lol I'm assuming you're talking about John Campea and Robert Myer Burnett? I could be wrong but it sounds like that. John Campea is a tough critc. He seems like he just purposely goes against the grain but the reviews to me that matter is Grace Randolph,Chris Stuckman,Jeremy Jahns (Who all liked it) and of course Andre and (Honorable mention) Tyrone Magnus

I complained about cürsed sonic when he and his teeth were revealed. So me and my girlfriend after our valentines dinner saw the film, and we were both glad we did. We went home after and played sonic mania for hours. Super charming, and the new design is the cherry on top. Plus Jim Carrey is just having so much fun it’s hard not to share in it when he’s on screen. Pretty darn enjoyable.

And hey, if you didn’t like the movie, that’s fine. If you wanted more Sonic worlds or lore, so did I. And if someone else you watch didn’t like it, it’s ok. Not everyone has to agree on every movie. And my expectations might have been lower than some because... IT’S A SONIC MOVIE IN 2020 LOL! I just hope it does well enough to get a sequel to get more of what I think we all want in the film. Have a nice weekend.

I enjoyed it, and I wanted more Sonic lore (also wanted more of the soundtrack to be influenced by the games) I had fun and wasn't really dissatisfied. I'm looking forward to more at this point

I’ll be honest Andre, few and far do I get emotional with these kinds of movies but the opening with you know who.... I shed a tear. Haven’t been hit like that since Mothra.😭

This movie is exactly what it should be, a silly, harmless kids movie. Nothing deep but nothing terrible. It's elevated by Jim Carrey's energy and some cool speedster action. Also, it sure beats me why they, at first, wanted to make his design anything halfway realistic. The movies tone and style is so cartoonish that this design actually fits whereas the other wouldnt have.

The C.T.K. 1000 I actually have a feeling they changed alot more than just the design, that could have edited the whole movie and changed the tone.. I think they were going for a darker approach initially.. thank god it turned out the way it did!

@@jonnyblanka I kind of doubt it changed a whole lot since many of the actors have stated they were moved on to other projects when the first trailer and backlash came about and they didn't have to come back and do anything extra themselves, meaning a vast majority of the jokes and dialogue must have stayed the same.

I think it was all the plan. This movie would have died with a November release, but coming out now and with this design, it'll do well. No doubt, this was a massive marketing ploy.

I am not going to lie, this movie was actually really good. Even my wife enjoyed it. I really hope we get a sequel. Especially with that end credits scene! Come on Andre! Give us that 30 minutes "Gotta Explain" spoilers review!

Yes! Also I feel like Sega finally opened up the potential for VG adaptations. The closest ones were Mortal Kombat, Prince of Persia, and Tomb Raider. Those films took some hard whacks at the barrier so that Sonic can speed dash through it.

Sonic reminds me of myself. As someone with ADHD who doesn't have many friends, I can relate to him, which is something modern and classic sonic can't do.

Lunday The 2nd honestly i'm still really impressed what they did with Sonic here! i'm glad you relate to him! usually Sonic isn't a super sympathetic character for me, but the way he used his speed and hyperactivity to essentially be his own friend really gets to me! i almost want this to be the definitive Sonic from now on!

In the post credits scene, Sonic walks into his house and sees a mysterious figure standing by the window. Mystery man: Mr. Sonic, you've just become part of a much bigger universe, you just don't know it yet. Sonic: Who the hell are you? He turns around to reveal himself to be a tall imposing man with a beard and an eye patch. Mystery man: Solid Snake, special agent of FOXHOUND. I'm here to talk to you about the Smash Bros initiative.

Snake as Fury? ... I like the way you think. The real question is, who would be Coulson? Whoever it is has to be a character with extra lives so when the Smash version of Loki kills him, he can come back to life.

I am 56 and enjoyed it completely. I took my 13 year old to the showing right after an early release school day today so there were lots of other parents bringing their kids of all ages to this showing. Everyone was enjoying it, all ages. In the spoiler please go over the hipster joke, I got some of it but I know I should have noticed something else. I have AMC A-List so I may see it again too.

I felt like the story was thrown together quickly, at least Robotnik/Eggman's portion. But, the movie left me wanting more. I felt like I could've sat through a few more hours. Jim Carry was a good choice for Eggman.

I went into this movie wanting nothing but a good time, and by god it delivered on that. I didn't expect top-notch writing, I didn't expect anything mind-blowing or thought provoking, I just wanted a fun action-packed Sonic movie that I felt really touched that excited nerve in me I've had since the Mega Drive/Genesis era of Sonic games. I got exactly what I wanted, and then some. Sonic was wonderful, Jim Carrey was an absolute BLAST as Dr Robotnik, and the action sequences, especially in the third act, were wonderful as hell. Definitely go see it!

It is a very good movie if you like or don’t like sonic. The movie has good characters and nice writing. The only problem I really have is ironically the pacing is very fast

I would like to see this be a trilogy: Sonic The Hedgehog Sonic 2 ( with the Tails tails as the number idea. That's funny lol) Sonic & Knuckles ( the 3rd installment of the franchise and have Sonic, Tails and Knuckles in it. That way, SEGA can use the Sonic and Knuckes logo, add a 3 in there somewhere like with Knuckles dreads or something and boom! )

This movie really made me happy, because even though it’s a new take on Sonic it still felt like the fun blue hedgehog from my happy genesis days. I hope the future installments will keep this care for this series.

Just finished seeing the Sonic movie and I loved it! Everyone in the theater applauded and when the after credit scene came on without spoilers we all screamed "YEEEESS!" 😆

Andre, I think ur spot on about Sonic's personality in this movie (talking to himself and such.) I appreciated that dimension they added to Sonic. It's a very realistic and relatable coping mechanism.

Completely agree, Sonic was cute and funny but wasn’t annoying. He was really enjoying to see with Mardsen, and I hope for a sequel they don’t do the “oh, they wanna have a kid now and Sonic is feeling unloved.” And the end credits? Oh my god, yes!!

The return of Hipster Sonic, and it feels so dang good!! 🤓☕ And I agree, go see this movie right now. I couldn't because I went to the dentist but you need to show this film support because they listened, if you don't do it then that means you were all bark and no bite and that's no good.

I've seen people make this point a lot and I don't really don't get it.. just because they fixed the design of the movie it doesn't mean you also didn't like other parts of the movie from the beginning enough to not see it. For example, I could hate the type of humor and writing from the previews and also not like the design, just because they fixed the design doesn't mean the other problems just vanish.

@@dannytv12 I get what you're saying as well, I can tell that it's not perfect and it's not trying to be Shakespeare here. It looks fun, a movie you just have fun and enjoy the ride. The reason why I'm saying to support cause if many don't support it then that means this. Fixing the design and delaying the movie would be worthless, it makes little to no money to make back for the budget and marketing, the planned trilogy would be scrapped. And the one I found out, if this film bombs then that would spell bad news for another attempt for TMNT. The film was removed from its schedule and I think I know why, they want to see this film succeed and well if many don't show up well...... Bye Bye TMNT and possibly other projects in the works as well. This happened before, remember Friday the 13th? Well why did they cancelled the planned reboot? The failure of Rings is to blame according to Paramount Pictures, which honestly that was unfair and this happened before the lawsuit that's still going on.

You know what’s sad? I don’t know why but I find every time I go to general audience to parental guidance movies like these, kids just seem so stiff as audience. I feel like adults are more enthused about these kind of movies every session I go to. Kids just see imagery and pretty effects but we see so much more. I don’t want to be mean about it, that’s just honest feeling.

@@KetwunsGamingPad when was a kid PG meant it had adult themes and situations but wasn't too violent or too many swear words. A film like Back To the Future. Now G and PG just seems so safe and they use the same jokes and slapstick over and over. Every trailer for a kids movie has the same poop joke. Monster roars. Character poops. It's funny once but I've seen it so often it's sad.

I was the only kid in the theatre who actually had reactions, in my head, the only one who was screaming at good parts. One minor cameo that I haven't heard anyone mentioning anywhere especially in videos dedicated to Easter eggs in this movie, is the simple fact that Gary Chalk has a small cameo! Not only was he the voice of Grounder and tons of background characters in the very first sonic cartoon Adventures of Sonic the Hedgehog, but he even went on to voice Dr. Robotnik himself in Sonic Underground!

I saw it yesterday and...pretty much everything Andre said I experienced! It was a fun, well done romp and I really enjoyed it!! The redesign definitely helped to give Sonic heart. Ben Diskin was a great choice for Sonic's voice but yeah I feel you on the distinct lack of JALEEL WHITE!! LOLZ
