Honestly I really do appreciate that the people behind this movie decided to take the fans criticism unlike other studios so that was really a good thing to hear when they decided to go back to the drawing board, I still would have loved to see Chris and sonic but I'm fine with the results. The only reason that would’ve motivated me to watch the movie if they didn’t bother changing the design would’ve been Jim Carrey hopefully when it does release its a good movie or decent at best

I just came back to this video just wanted to see how this sonic journey started. It's so crazy how good this has become

I'm a huge Sonic fan along with my brother and sister. We've played pretty much all of the Genesis and Dreamcast Sonic games, as well as watching all of the early 90's cartoon shows and the 1999 video movie. When I first heard about the development of a Sonic movie, I was so stoked as was my brother and sister. However my attitude changed when the first leaks and trailer came out with SANIC or Manhog the Sonic. I was so angry that I said I would never see the movie and thought this was the end of movies forever. When Jeff Fowler announced that he was going to have Sonic redesigned for the better, I was so overjoyed once again and since then we've been very eager to see the new design. Besides SANIC and Gangsta's Paradise, I thought the trailer looked good and felt Jim Carrey's Robotnik was actually surprisingly well done so far. Yeah there might be writing and other issues, but I don't care anymore, I want to give Fowler, Paramount, SEGA, and especially all of the fello Sonic fans for all of the feedback and making movie history. As a thank you, I'm going to see the movie and I think it will be a decent Sonic the Hedgehog movie.

Even if the movie is awful I’ll probably see it a couple of times because I love sonic and I’m just happy they ya least tried to make it better for us. The animators really deserve it.

The fact that the studio, crew, director, etc. behind the movie took the time to actually listen to, and absorb the criticism of fans, and are actively changing things in the movie to make things right speaks volumes. Looks like in Hollywood there actually is a few good eggs still there after all.

I actually went to go see Terminator Dark Fate yesterday and as I was walking to the theater I saw a Sonic movie poster and it was the one where it was him sitting on the Brooklyn bridge and I got so hyped that I just lost focus from what I was supposed to be doing lol. And also for anyone who is reading this comment, the date on the poster changed too btw.

I'm sad that the studio in charge of the special effects are the ones that did the halo 2 anniversary cutscenes And I would highly recommend watching MyNameIsBanks Trailer of the sonic movie

I think the only way they’ll actually make this film great, is if they reveal this as a prequel to the first sonic game or they say that this movie isn’t part of the timeline like how the games, comics and boom universes are seperate Hear me out That shot of eggman putting on the cracked goggle-glasses looks like the closest to the original robotnik that we know and love. What if after sonic gets teleported back to his world, Jim Carey Eggman follows him and gets stuck in sonic world. That way possibly giving robotnik an alternative option when collecting the chaos emeralds; to return to the world he came from But, like the original sonic design, there would be a lot of problems with it, but it was just an idea I came up with

I respect the studio for listening to fans rather than just lashing out and calling the fans racist or whatever like a lot of hollywood creators do now when facing criticism. However I wonder if the Sonic movie will ever be able to make it's budget back and a profit now.

I highly believe that this “bad sonic” was intentional and was all a big scheme to promote the movie. Hear me out: Bad sonic never existed. The new sonic design was the one they were always going to go with. All the time. They intentionally released the bad sonic and “listened” to the fans so that the fans would feel good about themselves. The fans would feel like they had a huge part in it and they would believe that now they HAVE to go see the movie. Paramount will get a bunch of praise because they were the first studio that “listened” to the fan base. So not only will the movie get a lot of good recognition but also the studio It might be dumb, but I highly believe this was all a huge promotion.
