Seeing Sonic with blue arms makes the '90s Sonic with tan arms look weird. I think I like the blue arms better. I'm also so glad that they didn't give him one big eye.

@@briannawilson8845 And thats why no other character is like that, shadow and silver for example have actual fur on the chest... Tails and Knuckles too... Sonic with the tan arms and belly just doesnt make sense in a realistic way... But i prefer tan belly, its iconic for him.

@@TGHunter Well, in the movie it's shown that the tan is actually fur so... But it looks like he shaved his arms or something. I'm okay with the tan arms and belly because that's what I'm familar with. Also, about the "one big eye", I don't think his eye is conjoined, it's actually something a lot of classic cartoon characters had back in the 1930s and since Sonic was influenced from classic cartoons, that's why his eyes look that way. Mickey Mouse, Goofy, and Pluto all had conjoined eyes back in the day, but the reason they changed it over time was because Walt Dinsey thought it'd look weird as their designs evolved.

Sonic doesn't actually have "one big eye", it's just a cartoon artstyle thing. Characters like diddy kong, the smurfs, and goofy do the same thing. And i don't understand how him having tan arms is unrealistic? Real hedgehogs have tan arms. Besides, it's a good contrast.

Sonic's arms were most likely tan for the same reason Mario wears overalls: so you could see his arms in front of his body despite graphics limitations

Its still wild to me that the voice of fans were heard to such a overwhelming extent that something is getting a redesign and delaying a movie, which will no doubt only help the sales of the film, good on them

If you actually look close enough, he still has two eyes. They just made his eyes overall bigger and added a white shade of fur inbetween to give the allusion of one giant eyeball. This isn't a complaint it's the best of both worlds. It looks like Sonic, but the whole one eye thing would make it worse.

6:06 this is something die hard fans should keep in mind as we get closer to February. The die hards fans were too focused on Sonic's original movie design (beta movie sonic) and Jim Carrey instead of the writing and acting. They claim that "This redesign will save the movie!".... From a visual standpoint it will. It won't save the acting or writing. All we can do is wait and see how it plays out.

Well, all the other characters has the arms like that too Sonic and Amy were the exception, since they were the first 2 characters sprites and they wanted to make the arms stand out on the tv screen. But its just too cartoony and worse imo. Blue Arms make sense and fits sonic better.
