@@topher3127 Well, Jeff Fowler said that the one that shot Longclaw was the leader of the Echidna tribe (I forgot the name), not Knuckles. Also, since Sonic was a child during that, Knuckles must have been a child as well. So while he may have been in the tribe, he probably was too young to do anything. So Knuckles being in the sequel is kind of hinted at with the tribe. Also, Dwayne Johnson echidna, amirite?

If Rouge is introduced, it’ll probably be in the same movie as Shadow. I could see Amy being introduced in the sequel though.

I don't think that'll happen. I think they'll match who they add by the games. The first sonic movie only had sonic and Eggman, the second one will have Tails and Sonic. So chances of Amy is really low since she was introduced in Sonic CD. And Rouge I think was introduced in like 2000-2004 so chances are even lower for Rouge same goes for, cream and Blaze. The closest we will get is probably. Shadow and knuckles and maybe Team chaotix.

But that’s why the first movie only featured Sonic and Eggman to develop more the reason why they are enemies and not extend the content. It was a good movie for many reasons and one of those is by not introducing much content. if they were to introduce so many things like all of Sonics friends, worlds, enemies, etc... than the movie would not be great. Is like the Justice league movie or world of war craft movie where they both introduced so many characters and worlds in so little time, it makes it feel bland. The Sonic movie made it perfect to introduce small content from the franchise and hype ping for what’s to come in the sequel. I would like to see the gang together and I think I could be perfect. Maybe they can make the Echidnas the main focus where they are hunting down people with special powers like Sonic and Tails and maybe Long Claw helped Tails to escape the prison and go find Sonic to be safe from them but maybe Tails has plans to save her and others with these powers, I would like to see like Amy rose as one of the main characters who’s gonna be set free by sonic and tails and maybe see a cameo of characters who were imprisoned with powers like Cream and cheese and Big. Knuckles could be a guard that is hiding his powers from his clan but follows his orders to stop sonic and tails.

Bruh, sonic's desire in the movie was to literally be a part of tom's family. He wanted to belong and be loved, so he wouldn't simply just decide to pack up and leave his 'favourite human' just because he felt left out. If anything, sonic's reason to leave temporarily would be because tails convinced him to come alongside him and go defend mobius or whatever the cause of him coming may be. And he probably wouldn't want tom and maddie tagging along because he'd just put their lives at risk, hence the reason he'd distance himself from them and have them protect green hills or something. And of course they'll eventually reunite as a family in the end, and the gang will still be formed (sonic, tails, amy, nuckles etc).
