@@obsgr1 some.. this mean no market for the camera in many many countries. those are not good times to buy or release new cameras but are time to improve tecnologies to put into next gen cameras (late 2022)

First of all I would like to say that I am drooling about this camera. I sat down to think about it and I realized there is not a single picture shown that I don't think I can take with my current A7RIV or A9. Don't need 8K. Thank you for all the information. I'll probably buy the 135 GM and save some money.

Hi Kai. I have a question for you: Why do you think that Sony is dragging its feet on the A7lV? All of these other cameras are being manufactured before the A7lV though they were announced well after the A7lV? Thanks.

Do remember, Kai, the sensor floats in that IBIS camera, so the vibration you feel prolly has no effect on the image.

Love your reviews. Great fun factor in lockdown (well, technically a 6pm curfew in France right now°. I haven't commented before: I just sit through them, learn and giggle. But I gotta ask about that setup for the water pics. All I understood was the words "flash" and "I don't have a...". Please expand and let us know what that light was and how you use high speed flash sync wit a light that's not a flash. Please. Do it for us mere mortals in curfew.

You can turn off that beep before the photo. I did on my A7rII at least. I don’t think too many creeps are spending nearly $10k on a creepshot setup, if they are, they have telephoto lens and the beep is irrelevant.

if the 30fps shutter is electronic, the sound we hear is just some wav from the camera, right (since its not mechanical)? hearing how fast it sounds is impressive, but im pretty sure im not hearing 30 sounds per second, as i should. i guess the wav is skipping and just plays 12-18 or so. at 30, we shouldnt be able to hear the individual "shutters", and we do. it should sound more like a linear continuous tone.

I had a Minolta film camera, great camera. I still have the Sigma lenses and built a couple of Sony A390's from scrap cameras to use them on... now I have adapted those lenses to use on my Canon EF mount. Still retro feel to the images. However, this Sony Alpha 1 is just too expensive for enthusiasts, just buy the Canon R5 or two.

With that screen how can we shoot portraits low to ground or up hight! Still a bad choice that limits the person. At the least they could have done a screen similar to s1 that flips to both vertical and horizontal oriantions on it's own central access.
