Appreciate the effort. but shouldnt a reviewer gone through at least 90% more of the setting before making the video? i mean like at least go through the setting of the cameras? Its like a friend of mine is using phone of different brand which i have never used but when he lend me his phone, i just curious and simply went to the phone setting and turn on some gestures to try. This just surprised him that he didnt even know his phone could do the gesture. lolololll. i mean its like basically in the phone setting but he just never went there and never know this exist. lol. Problem with users nowdays that they dont even click the setting or at least go play with their phone. Its okay for general consumers but at least for reviewer, why dont you even go to play with the phone first before review lol. Anyway, appreciate your effort to cover sony.

Yeah sure that happens... But that's not the reason that feature was put there. It was made like that incase the phone hangs or freezes. During Xperia M4 Aqua days, there was a reset button for emergency restart when you open the sim flap. Sony got rid of that reset button by this sim tray ejection restart mechanism. Xperia E3(and other xperias of that era) had one under the back cover. A legend Sony Xperia fan here.

@@user-qw4jy1oy9r Hmmmmmm... I have a serious urge to doubt this. Because that restart happens every time the tray is opened. Even if all slots are empty, without sims or memory card. I am typing this from an Xperia XZ 1st gen 2016. I used xperia E3, Xperia M2, Xperia M4, aqua, Xperia M5 now Xperia XZ. Wether SD card or not, wether sim cards or not. Infact I never used an SD for my XZ before. Curious enough, if the phone is 'ON' and you remove the sim tray it 'restarts', when you insert the tray again, it 'restarts' again.(May be for safety reasons this time like you said). The only way to ensure only a 'single restart' is to remove and reinsert the tray before the phone shuts down from the very "1st restart" after pulling out the sim/SD tray. So, there are 2 restarts every time you remove and insert the tray. 1 for removal, 1 for insertion, wether the tray is empty or not.

PPPS... Another thing is, Sony don't see any reason for you to open the sim tray if you are not swapping sims or SD cards. Which is another reason for the restart. Because they expect a sim swap, so they made the 'restart' compulsory for a clean sim/network registration. Except in freezing or hanging cases though.
