As a kid in London, I saw these same pictures in a magazine there and felt so far removed from this kind of world and culture. Fast forward, little did I know that I was to meet Sophia in Singapore where I was living then, and a couple of years later, met an Italian man who courted by taking me all over italy including Rome several times, and settled down in Milan for many years, speaking fluent Italian. Rome is beautiful. This house is magnificent just like Sophia Loren.

Totally agree! He looks like such a wonderful man. He was greatly in love with her . I know she could be "spicy"too. One can see this and I being partly Italian, and came from the same area, and know it can happen ,once in awhile. . 😉🤫But she has always been so elegant! Who could ever want for more, then what Carlo Ponti gave her? She had it all. He did as well! Doing movies was not so easy normally, but think it became second nature to her, as many times she may have been feeling like she was really playing her own self? We all have more than one aspect of ourselves. So she could move into the part, feeling in that way. She was able to make her own way too, and then feel somewhat independent, of course. Never in my life did I even dream she lived in this exquisite of a home, but guess I should have!
