Everyone needs to remember grit guards are utilized in the 2 bucket method. When I used this method in the past, I wasn't pumping the mitt up and down in the rinse bucket. the grit guard is meant to rub debris out of the mitt before dunking in the wash bucket. I still argue that if you are trying to avoid any chance of a contaminated mitt scratching your surface, use power washer pre-rinse, then foam and rinse, and finally use multiple MF towels or multiple mitts and go panel by panel, with one towel per panel and inspect the towel after every wipe. It's extermely OCD, but considering that's why we are all likely watching this video, it might be worth it for you.

I use the chemical guys under the gold one for the best of both worlds.

Thank you for this second review of the bucket dirt guards. If you can invent the cool wheel stand, maybe you can invent a grit guard that actually works too? =) Actually, I'm thinking about a couple of designs myself - including a variant with a pump and a cleanable/reusable filter to REALLY catch even the smallest dirt particles, and even salt, that dies the water dark and quickly makes it unsuitable for cleaning. Love your enthusiasm for the subject.

My thoughts no matter what it will still be dirty water. One bucket multiple Mitts is your best solution other than that you're buying into the hype
