This car definitely has a love it or hate it design. For a $56,000 car there are too many hard touch plastics on the dashboard. In addition the rear seat door trim should not be hard touch at that price point. In typical Hyundai fashion be ready to pay thousands over MSRP.

Yeah, idk what they were thinking, the ioniq 5 has full (pleathr) on the dash and door. I guess it was the design they were going for, but it still could have been soft touch plastic.

I really like it a lot especially since it's a sedan & not a crossover! I would easily pick this over a Tesla since there are way too many Tesla's on the road especially here in SoCal. I like to have a car I typically see few of every day such as my current 2016 Lexus GS350 F-Sport. The side profile of course reminds me of the Sonata & the rear spoiler reminds me of a Porsche & the shape of the taillights remind me of the Infiniti J30.

I would buy the Hyundai Ioniq 6 but the only thing is that Hyundai need to work on is there wireless Apple car play an android auto

Why do you still whining about the wired apple CarPlay? Just buy a wireless adapter, $60 dollars, works great,.I don’t get people complaining about the wired CarPlay,if you like the car. No car is perfect, they all have their compromise somewhere

All of the Kia/Hyundai vehicles with the 12.3in displays DO in fact have the tech for wireless AA/Carplay but I guess there's some legal/contractual dispute between Kia/Hyundai and Navtech (who designs the stock navigation system) preventing them from enabling wireless AA/Carplay. It could be enabled in the future with a software update.

We actually were just talking to Vice President of Technology at Hyundai and he did confirm that many (but not all) would likely be able to update to wireless in the future

When you're talking about an EV with "route planning," it's a good idea to to use it to plan a route and show your viewers how it works. There are many cars with route planning software that works badly, or which will send you to a problematic 240 volt station instead of to a DC station. There are also vehicles that make you top far too often.

I've been following the rollout of this car for months, and so far I've not seen a single photo or video of the front end with a North American sized license plate affixed. If someone has a link to such a photo, please post it in reply to this comment. I'm wondering where it attaches so that it doesn't affect either the forward-facing sensors or the air intake louvers. Thanks!

I dont think people was paying attention during the Ioniq 6 presenetation. Its only .22 when used with the 18" wheels, with the 20" wheels, its .246.

Those 18" wheels on the SE model have to be about the ugliest wheels I have ever seen. The front of the Ioniq6 looks good, but the entire rear section just looks out of place. I would consider buying the Ioniq5, but this one would be a hard no. The Genesis GV60 EV looks the best of the bunch.

Cost and range. What's the Base Ioniq6 have? Base model 3 $42,900 270 miles range, great charging network, 0 to 60 in under 6, glass roof, heated seats front and back, heated wheel good sound system, double pane glass for quite and $7500 cash back from the FED. Crickets From Hyundai.

The base Hyundai is $41,500 and unlike Tesla, they don’t charge a grand of more extra for a color that’s not white! The Hyundai will have better build quality and a better quality of paint. And the federal credit for Teslas is only $3750 as their batteries are made in China.

@@ChicagoBob123 - It’s 240 miles, not 220. Not that much different than the Tesla’s 272. (In real world driving, probably 210 for the Ioniq 6 and 230 for the Model 3. At best.) At any rate, the Ioniq 6 that interests me is the second least expensive trim, the 77.4 kWh SE RWD. The one that gets 361 miles of EPA range and costs $46,615 (including destination.) Just four grand more than the barebones minimum, but 121 more miles of range.

@Outback Igloo got the 220 from the ioniq 5 website. Tesla comes with the front and back heated seats. Heated steering. Heat pump. Glass roof. Double pane glass for a bit of quiet. Decent stereo. Good 0 to 60. Great charging network and batteries that are ok to charge to 100%. You're now mentioning Ioniq 6. That starts at 46k.

@@ChicagoBob123 - No, the Ioniq 6 starts at $41,500 plus the destination, so $42,615 or thereabouts, but that is for a 53kWh battery. And I mention the Ioniq 6 because that is what this video is about.

That key fob is huge. I hate the gray plastic Hyundai/Kia uses all the time, key and dash here. Just looks cheap, they’ve used it for years.

It looks like it wants to be a 911. It wants to be a Mercedes and is trying too hard. It’s trying too hard when it comes to the square Dots, the extra lines vertical in the bumpers and the wings on the interior. I know they had digital mirrors in Europe, but get rid of the wing.

I don't see how this is a better buy vs the ioniq 5. It has less features for a more expensive price. Hyundai needs to make a cheaper EV not another one that is the same price as their other one. The window switches in the middle is a dumb idea. What benefits does that offer other then getting wet from drinks.
