1 I get to work by car 2 I've got married in 2001 3 I've got to go to a doctor ' appointment 4 Start and finish every task I do without distractions. I have two doubts. 1 you use " get to work" I thought that was get work = get home? Can you explain me why you use to with work? 2 let's get started.. in this example if get means start the sentence would be " let's start started? Thanks for your wonderful class. Other topics that confuse me a lot are the words "rather" and like, and its different meanings. If you could make a class explaining these topics t would be fantastic .

Thanks for your answers but if you don't mind could you explain my doubts about this class? I haven't still understood "get to work i"nstead "get work" and if the meaning of let's get started is the same as "let's get start." In both expressions for me as a Spanish speaker is to finally start an action. I don't know if I've understood well. Thanks for your splendid classes
@Speakconfidentenglish
@Speakconfidentenglish 3 жыл бұрын
Hi Silvia, Regarding the doubts: 1. Typically when we ask, "How do you get to work?" we're asking by which mode of transportation to you arrive at work? So a possible respond might be, "By car" or "by bus." 2. Let's get started is an alternative to 'let's begin' or 'let's start.' It is often used at the beginning of a presentation or or meeting and sound more like an invitation rather than a command. As a result, it sounds a bit friendlier.
