A fantastic day out spearfishing in Fiji with some great company spear fishing on a boat with some great fish including spanish mackerel, coral trout, barracuda, Large eye bream, Giant Trevally and even some common reef species.

All fish were of legal size and were speared for consumption. I abide by catch size limits, daily takes, and no fish zones. Over the past 5 years now I have made the commitment to no longer buy fish, so I only eat the fish I catch.
Spearfishing is the most sustainable form of fishing on the planet, it is also the most environmentally friendly form of fishing.

100% dude, i responded to the other guy who was trying to make out its disgusting. Whilst it is disappointing and he did have a point on my accuracy on that day. But his reply to my comment validated me removing him all together just a troll being a troll.

Think the shark at 4:57 is a silvertip not an oceanic whitetip

You may be right the other one was definitely a oceanic white tip though you could tell from its fins. But this guy yeah you might be right it might just be a silvertip! Cheers!

Good one! Lots of fish that side. Personally I think GT s are better left for rod and reel and released! How was the sea bass? I have never eaten one.

Thanks man, yeah i would agree especially at that size. But i had thought it was like a 55-60cm fish… turned out to be a lot bigger than that which I definitely would have left alone due to their poor eating quality at size. Bass is delicious!!

Think it’d work if you had some kind of clampers to hang on to fish? Something to grip on to them so they don’t escape from your hands or spear.

That would be mint! Ideally a second shot in the fish would have been great. But ill work harder and do better on my aim

@@WetMammal thought I’d suggest something in the meantime, since you can’t expect to always land great shots. Not that I know anything about spearfishing or anything! So, who knows how practical it’d be.
