Another fantastic tutorial can't wait to give it a go. Once again, way to make what can seem like to a beginner a really difficult project into something just about all of us can try and tackle. I'm someone who is way more interested in playing than painting but refuses to play with gray plastic. A great help in bridging that gap these videos.

I really like how you did these models. Well made tutorial too, very clear instructions. I did something similar but used the main colour glaze at the end to smooth out all the shading so it's less blotchy. I will definitely share this video around.

Yeah! It's totally up to you when to add the glaze to be honest. Most of the models in Blackstone Fortress will end up being quite dark colours, so I wanted at least a few with some white final highlights.

This is perfect. I've been oh so tempted by Blackstone Fortress, but I know hardly anything about painting the damn things and a sea of grey plastic is off-putting. This pretty much seems aimed right at my level, and I'm so glad it doesn't have about 27 highlighting steps. Roll on payday then for the set.

Just built mine tonight and decided to take a post build break and check out some youtube. Found your series in perfect time! Looking forward to the other steps as i'll likely be using your methods to get a speed painted game ready. Lots of stuff on the chopping block and if I go my normal painting style it'll take a really long time to finish up. Hmm, I did everything the way you explained it, but the wash comes out much thinner, even if I reduce the amount of water, the wash is so thin, it does not stick to the larger areas... Is it because I use a wet palette?

I have to say, I really don't like wet palettes, and I haven't used on for more than a decade, so I can't really help with that one I'm afraid!. Maybe try mixing it in a little bottle lid or something, that way, you won't add any extra moisture :)
