I would like to share my favorite Korean recipes with you.
I've been running Korean cooking class and food tour company in Seoul, Korea for the last 10 years.
I wanted to share my secret recipes which are both easy to make and delicious.

Spicy Stir-fried fish cakes / Eomuk-bokkeum
Ingredients
Fish cakes----------------------------------------------------------------------------- 240g
Red bell pepper--------------------------------------------------------------------- 1/2
Yellow bell pepper----------------------------------------------------------------- 1/2
Onion (small)------------------------------------------------------------------------- 1/2
Garlic (sliced)------------------------------------------------------------------------ 2 cloves
Sauce
Soy sauce------------------------------------------------------------------------------ 2 tbsp
Brown sugar-------------------------------------------------------------------------- 2 tsp
Gochugaru (korean chili flakes)-------------------------------------------- 2 tsp
Water------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- 2 tbsp
Sesame oil----------------------------------------------------------------------------- 2 tsp
Cooking oil----------------------------------------------------------------------------- 1 tbsp
Instructions
1. Slice the fish cakes into strips (one inch thick). Thinly slice the vegetables
2. In a small bowl, combine soy sauce, sugar, gochugaru and garlic
3. In pan add garlic, soy sauce, sugar and gochugaru. Mix well and then heat the pan over medium heat. Bring the sauce to a boil. Then reduce the heat to low
4. Add fish cakes to the pan. Toss and add the vegetables. Stir fry for 1 minute. Add water to it and mix. Cover with the lid and cook for 1 minute
5. Drizzle sesame oil and turn off the heat and cover the pan with the lid
6. Plate in a big platter or in a small plate for banchan

@Jia Choe is their away to make these flat & thin fish cake from scratch? I see plenty of recipes showing how to make all shapes except the flat & thin ones. Do you have a recipe? or does everyone just buy? If one does not live near an asian grocery is it possible to make this same flat and thin ones at home?

Flat and thin fish cakes are made in the factories but you can make in different shapes. The ingredients are the same😊🥰

Guys how does a fishcake taste? I have never seen it in Germany

Hi. It's made from the meat of several kinds of fresh fish and then it’s mashed into a paste, some seasoning. However the taste of fish is not strong
