It's a shame that game was such a shit show. It took elements from the 2001 game and 2004 game and mixed them together and those parts were awesome. All the quicktime events and the downgraded web slinging was terrible though :(

The combat is epic. You can pick up enemies and throw them/ swing them, dive bomb them and hang them from a light post to name a few. To me this was the height of Spider-Man combat creativity.

What do you mean? The do give you health after missions. A big red circle and plus icon falls from the sky onto spideys position after the mission points are given out.

I only had the DS version of Spider-Man 2 long time ago. It was actually the very first handheld game I ever played. What was a bit bummer was that I couldn't just swing everywhere, so it's obviously not as good as it's counterpart, but it was still fun.

I remember having this on the GameCube, I used to stay on this and had good times playing this game: 1. Graphics - Felt like something out of Grand Theft Auto 3. 2. Gameplay - I felt the magic of being Spider Man, swinging around the city, beating up crooks, trying out Spidey's arsenal of techniques, and doing other forms of heroics. 3. Bosses - Doc Ock was tough to beat and very intimidating in general. 4. Extra - The missions with Black Cat and Mysterio were great filler arcs to the main story. All in all, Spider Man 2 (movie and video game) has a special feel to it compared to the 1st and 3rd entry and remains one of my most favorite Spider Man moments in history (even in this day and age).

you get health after missions (not story missions) but after a green or purple mission a health token falls from the sky after a few seconds

Black cat’s subplot was the same as what was originally gonna be in the movie before they re wrote the script into the movie we actually got!

Black Cat would have been perfect for Spider-Man 3. Instead of the black suit/Venom causing Spidey to consider crime and being irresponsible Black Cat does. It would also make MJ and Peter's relationship issues make more sense.

Honestly, I owned the PC version and it was nostalgia for me. I enjoyed it a lot, it does have a better Mysterio fight than the console version. I got used to it a lot since I was 6 years old. I still love it. Not my favorite, but I love it.
