It’s more of a loyalty thing. Like these people dedicated the primes of their life to help David’s Vlog the biggest show on the internet and now that he doesn’t need them he has no interest in helping his so called friends. But all this made me realize David wasn’t anything without them and he’s jus some rich kid now. While I agree I also think there’s room for an air of resentment from people in those vlogs because although many of them got treated and gifted at different points and times, David never paid them like employees. Yes they got their platforms but at the same time they literally made up the entirety of the vlogs, not to mention the shitty dangerous situations they’d get in i.e Jeff. They were just looking for a quick way to an LA lifestyle. Those who were capable look like they landed on their feet. Those who weren’t capable now beg for money. The rest of them were not as financially literate as davit was, but I think it’s also kind of fucked up to act as if he wasn’t using them. If it wasn’t for his friends, he wouldn’t have made that money in the first place to invest in anything else. Like again no one likes David but at the same time you can’t sit there and look at this and not see it as he was very manipulative, but also made sure that he had a safety net, but didn’t care enough.
