It was an unexpected baby (minus the boyfriend that would probably know) and they didnt ask her to have a baby. They had no emotional connection to it (they hadn’t met it or anything)

I'm not sure exactly, but she was out on probation after 3 years. She got 15 years for aggravated manslaughter. Maybe time off for "good behavior " or time served before trial? Today she's married and has two kids so that's a little concerning.

This is very true @FabiolaMacabre .. I was homeschooled before going to 8th grade. My parents wouldn't let us have any social media. I felt so isolated. I became very secretive, and I knew I was stuck emotionally, not growing mentally. Later on, I was pregrant and I was so terrified finding out. I cried, I was shaking badly, my heart was racing, I was going to pass out all because I was afraid of my parents. I was going to take the pill but I decided to tell my mother.. everybody even my siblings really gave it to me. The way Alexee's mom talked to her daughter when they gave her the news, Alexee's response saying she was scared, all that just gave me flashbacks. In the end, we're all happy, I have a beautiful happy child now, and I have grown so much. It definitely was a hard and long journey to get here, but I'm glad I'm truly happy and stress free now.

My parents weren't toxic but I would have been afraid to tell them if I had gotten pregnant. I know it would have made them sad and disappointed. She was more worried about her image than she was the baby. That is nit the mother's fault.

I think hospital won't take the patient and give any treatment before that for the simple cases like this where random people will try to shift the blame on incompetence of the hospital stuff.

Why the boyfriend? He had little to no control over this situation. He wasn’t there when she did it. Even if he knew she was pregnant, he couldn’t tell her what to do. She was old enough to get an abortion on her own, and him not telling anyone she was pregnant is not a crime. I’m unsure if he even knew. His way of finding out could have been the call to come down and see her after what happened. He looked really sad and scared.

The people in the hospital are not that innocent, in my opinion. The whole delivery process takes hours, especially for non-induced first-time mothers. They knew she was pregnant and yet no one checked how her baby was doing, how her body was doing. Obviously, her back pain was due to the contractions she was having. As well as the claims that she has been given strong painkillers not compatible with pregnancy (I believe that claim, otherwise she would have been screaming in pain) - whenever I check in at the hospital, they always run a pregnancy test, whatever the reason for me checking in.

This isn't the only time a teenager has dumped their baby in the trash, it's been happening for decades. I remember hearing about babies being found in the trash when I was still in school myself, in the 90's. It's not new, teen girls do this and it's truly sad and horrific.
