Maybe a year ago but, lovely bit of axe 🪓 work. And just look 👀 at the shine on the edge of that axe, shining ✨️ like a mirror and sharp as a razor. Well and truly honed and polished.

Thank you so much for watching! I have a lot of love for the PNW, spent the last 10 years up in Vancouver BC and would duck down to the States whenever I could👌

I watched it all the way through. Great work, satisfying to watch and now all I want to do you is go axe out spoons rather than make knives🤣. This is Phil VPLKnifeCo. I laughed when the axe flung the spoon off your stump. That happens to me about twenty times per spoon🤣🤣🤣

Fantastic work mate! Great economy of motion and a lovely little spoon to be. Did you carve those facets into your axe handle?
@andyspoons Жыл бұрын
Thanks very much mate! No, I re-handled it, but these handles are on offer from GB through Woodsmith Experience in the UK already faceted👌

If you're axing out a bunch of blanks, and you want to store them for a short time without them drying out, how do you do it? I've heard of people putting them in a trash bag, or in the freezer, or just getting to carving them quickly.
@andyspoons6 ай бұрын
I wrap mine in some plastic and keep them in the freezer. You can also keep them submerged in water with a little vinegar, but you will need to remember to change out the water fairly regularly
