The Ullmark play where he skated out to blueline to stop a play that probably would've at least resulted in a breakaway chance but was thwarted by ullmarks quick thinking and quick movements! CRAZY!!

Eh, most of us did. There was a lot of debate. I'm normally very much a "wait and see" type of guy, but yeah, this one was a homerun for GMKA. Tage has been a blast to watch this year and he's been doing a great job of keeping some life in the team even during the 8 game losing streak earlier this month.

I think the Stars-Blues game alone had probably 4 hat picks (including a quietly saved goal by a forward, Robertson's blocked shot turned into a breakaway goal with the cutest celebration - he literally put his hands up and said, "What just happened?", superb passing sequence leading to Dellandrea's goal, the Wedgewood save featured in the video...) and a good old fashioned dang it just to keep the universe in balance.

Man, that backhander reminds me of Eberle’s no-look top shelf backhander from the faceoff circle through a defenseman last year. That was the only goal scored on the rangers that game

Was honestly expecting to see the Bruins setting the NHL record for consecutive home wins to start the season (now at 13 in a row!), especially given the 2-0 comeback win against the canes when Ullmark had to leave due to injury. Great win and great record. the Bruins in general are a hat pick right now.

After close examination I think that last Hat Pick was all Edler! From the top view it appears Edler made the block just before Peterson arrived and it woulda bounced wide of the net. Then of course he blocks yet another shot after being crashed into by his erstwhile goalie :D Amazing effort by Peterson, but IMO that initial shot was gonna just barely sneak over his glove and into the net if Edler hadn't stopped it.

THANK YOU -- as a goalie (amateur), I don't like to take credit away from a fellow goalie, but I do like giving credit where credit is due, especially to teammates playing defence for us. Edler deserves all the credit for keeping that puck out of the Kings' net on that play with not one, but TWO blocks! Sure, it was a great effort for CP to get back in net after what looked like getting knocked in the head to the right of the net, but even though he got his glove on the puck, that can't really be called a save, as after the puck hit Edler, it was headed wide of the net. The next chance didn't even get through to CP, thanks again to EDLER.

Took Seattle almost a full year to score 7 goals in a game again. As Ray Ferraro once said, "it feels like a game of dodgeball. Neither goaltender can keep the puck out of the net." Edit: They beat that by scoring 9 against Los Angeles in a game that saw SEVENTEEN GOALS COMBINED.

On the Kings one, Elder made the save. If you look at the overhead it deflects off of him and is going well wide and Peterson then hits it with his glove.

Cal Petersen's diving save was amazing, but it shows how poor the Kings' D is. It showed in that 17-goal duel with the Kraken, and most recently against the Canes. Now he's trying to get his game back with the AHL team in Ontario.

Congrats to Jack Hughes on the hat trick, but his first two goals in that game should also be on Steve's Dang-its. Florida losing in OT after blowing a 4-1 lead can also be a dang-it. Big save by Peterson leads to a delayed penalty in the Ranger end against New York, which leads to LA scoring the game-tying goal. It's been a tough couple weeks for Rangers fans and players alike.

As a Goalie, watching the Hughes hat trick . . . the one thing that is becoming VERY popular is shooting at the goalies head/shoulder and popping it into the upper corner. While I'll get no sympathy, this is becoming an annoying way to score goals. At the NHL level, it maybe fine as pros are getting payed and they KNOW what they are doing . . . but when midnight leagues and weekend-warrior players try this at my local rink, because they see the Pros do it, it down right dangerous. Everyone thinks they can CRANK a shot, from the corner, at my face and bank it in now! 😮‍💨🙄Never in 20 years have I complained how players score goals but this one is becoming down-right "annoying".

As a Blues fan, I just wanted to sincerely apologize for "fleecing" the Buffalo Sabres for Ryan O'Reilly. We extend an open invitation to return Tage Thompson, a 1st rounder, a 2nd rounder, and whatever couple guys you want to toss in on top. We will miss O'Reilly but we can figure out a way to make it work.
