I taught myself how to crochet, it was my Gramma who new how to knit and crochet. I always loved to watch her and wanted so bad to learn how knit and crochet! I'm left handed and my gramma knitted right handed. She would get so frustrated with me,that she finally said your unteachable . So she quit trying to teach me. I learned how to knit when I was in 4-H but only simple stitches, loved it so much. But life got in the way ya know, and it fell to the way side. But I always thought I could never crochet, because my Gramma said I couldn't. When my mom got Alzheimers, and she needed a busy blanket. That's when I wanted to be the one to make that for her!! So I watched crochet videos and taught myself. I love it so much,and its because of people like you, who let people know its ok to make mistakes and go on. Thank you for that.

I thought i would tell you what's been in where I live in a small town we bought a church it is now our home.we have had lots of rain. The power in about 10 small towns there was no power for 2 days so much rain we have to wear wet clothes the church was lit up with torch, now things are getting better no internet no cinnamon stitch all good now. Love the cardigan you just made all the best

Yes, it's a bit tedious at first, but (with your help) I am now able to complete an entire row without pulling it apart and going back to the old 'tried but true' chain first, then sc. Your tutorials are better than most. You are patient, show where EVERY stitch goes, give advice, tell stories or make other comments as you stitch, and you don't walk us thru simple stitches so slowly as if we are beginners. Love the advice on how to make the project our own by showing little variations away from the formal partern. Your voice is calming and friendly.

I am left handed and as backwards as the day is long. Foundation stitches have never worked for me. I just chain and turn then single crochet across the row then begin the pattern as written. The foundation row is much cleaner. Beautiful pattern, excellent job doing Premier week Jennifer, you are a rock star!!👍🏻👍🏻

I am at the point with sewing up the shoulders and I love all the extra tips you provided and with all the reasons, they definitely make for a sturdier garment no matter what size.
