May I say that I L❤️ O❤️ V❤️ E❤️ this vest! But Wait, there’s more! I absolutely adore Premier Cotton! My current Premier Home (3/23/24) skein reads 85% cotton 15% Poly. It makes a yarn I already loved, even BETTER!! I thought I was the only one who was a consistent mattress stitch seamer! I just feel it finishes the seams, well, seamlessly. It’s the end result for me. I can ‘repair’ a stich here or there, but once I’ve connected all the pieces and THEN find a mistake, I’ll just get my marshmallows and toast ‘em over the flame of that now burning garment. 🤩🧶💗

It might be easier to make the ribbing first and fit the panels to the ribbing. I also prefer to work the single crochet into the center chain instead of under it. Make a swatch to see which you prefer.

You say you are initially chaining for front and back, but, then you say to note the number of stitches because you will be chaining that number again for the other side. ??????

Jen this is wonderful! I love the way it drapes and the peek a boo in the back is so cute. Can't wait to try this myself lol. My yarn shipped yesterday 😁 I am attempting to make a puppy sweater today for my grandson's puppy. Wish me luck! It is sunny and clear today, so maybe I can go to the park and crochet there.
