New subscriber here. Just want to say your fishing videos are the best. Guys from other channels seem to be way too hyper or have this weird fake persona. But your content is both relaxing, exciting, and informative. I definitely want to head to MN to fish for smallies now! Cheers from Indiana.
@scuba67974 жыл бұрын
I agree with you. I cannot stand that fake youtube persona some people have, that over hypes everything. His videos are all legendary relaxing and quality.
@natebrouard80404 жыл бұрын
I've been a fan for a while now, and couldn't agree more. He doesn't need fancy editing and background music to keep you engaged. He keeps me coming back bc of his useful info, calm attitude, and of course it's fun to watch how successful he is. No one else like this out there
@davidmitchell73184 жыл бұрын
Totally agree. This guy's persona doesn't need bells and whistles. Love the relaxing tone of his videos. I'm also green with envy that he has access to such great fishing spots.

Nate Wong Agreed dude. I been in the youtube fishing video game for years. I subbed to Jon B 6 years ago and 1Rod 5.5 years ago after meeting him at a local pond. Back then the youtube content was peaceful and informative, but somewhere around 2017/18 it became about entertainment and the relaxing / informative / educational approach went to the way side. Tactical Bassin remains the greatest KZfaq Channel of all time in my eyes. I’m starting to truly enjoy Debo’s Fishing as he comes across and a dude you’d wanna get a beer with and fish with. Greg Blanchard is a channel you wanna check out , it’s similar to this one. I’m glad i found this channel, i use to use fishing videos to fall asleep , but lately all you hear is “ LETSSSSS GOOOOOOOO LETSSSSS GOOOOOOO” every 4.5 minutes as a dude catches a 3.5lber he calls a 5lber lol
@variable3034 жыл бұрын
@@andrewwolf4963 Yeah, what's up with every KZfaqr shouting, "LET'S GO!" with every catch? That said, I do enjoy some of Jon B's stuff. His production quality is top notch, and he seems like a decent guy. I guess it just seems a bit too much like a show for me though. With Matt, it's like I'm just sitting next to some chill dude who's fishing while tossing out occasional pointers. No frills, no music, just the relaxing sound of water and nature. Tactical Bassin is great too, but I sometimes feel like he's catering to a more hardcore crowd that likes min maxing everything. I get the sense that he's a bit out of touch with casual fisherman. One time, he was like, "I like to keep it simple when pond fishing, so I just bring six rod/reel combos." Like... man, I'm just a dude that likes going out to the local pond or creek for fun.

Matt, thoroughly enjoyed watching those beautiful pike come aboard. I grew up in SW N. Dakota over 70 years ago fishing the Heart and Cannonball rivers where catfish reigned supreme. I left in 84 for MN and now OH. The fishing in ND has developed tremendously so when I see those buttes crop up in the background I know you aren't in MN anymore. I remember when the Heart Butte and Garrison Dams were constructed so you know I'm an old geezer by now with a warm yearning for ND and MN fishing. Thanks for sharing your experiences afloat and God grand you many years paddling the water.

One of my favorite lakes to fish. We got into a mess of white bass last summer out there and caught one every cast for a few hours. Well over 100 fish that night. I've never seen it that calm on that lake though! Great trip, thanks for sharing it with us.

Those white bass are a lot of fun! I was out there in June last summer and I’d see them hitting the surface often. Toss the spook at the commotion and watch it get blasted 4-5 times before I’d connect with one!
