Uruguay having teros as their emblem mascot is great. Probably the only rugby national teams whose emblem are literally born on the rugby fields they play.

Aa a Brazilian living in France (specifically from the southernmost state, Rio Grande do Sul) I love seeing your content and enthusiasm with Uruguay. I hope that they can break some paradigms this world cup and hopefully we can see great results from the three Latin American powers at the WC in France. On top of that, Uruguay rugby was always my inspiration, so they will always be close to my heart

Just watched the Uruguay sevens today in Singapore, and they were fantastic, defeating Kenya and even group favourites USA. Obviously not the same group of players in 15s, but it really seems it is growing over there similar to Argentina a while back. Excited for the future!

Decided to cheer for Uruguay as the underdogs at the 2015 RWC and my housemate picked tighthead prop Mario Sagario as his new favourite player. On a whim, I emailed the URU asking for a contact for Mario to see if he’d record a birthday message for my housemate. He got back to me very quickly and said he’d be delighted do the video but had some important stuff going on so it might take a few days. Turns out he was in the process of signing a short term deal with Munster. Even in the middle of the biggest move of his career to date, he took the time to record a very lovely and funny video for my housemate… who is a Munster fan from Limerick! Have loved Uruguayan rugby ever since.

Superb review of uruguayan international rugby. I am argentinian, and I love Uruguay in many ways. It may be true that argentine coaches helped to develope their game, as in Chile, so far, but I am not surprised at Uruguayan talent, and least at the determination. They never surrender! Not so long ago, any of their teams would be beaten quite easily by a good argentine side, be it club level or international. Nowadays, they regularly beat argentine and chilean sides, or make it very hard to be beaten. I will not pretend to not say Argentina has a lot to do with this progress, but since the talent exists, if better coached, if getting more often exposed to quality competitors, no one should be surpised. And Squidge, smart observer, spotted this. Having said this, I must say that to advance to a higher level could demand many years. It is a road to follow, and to remain true to.

Arata is a top lad, we’ve got/had a couple of superb Uraguayan players at Castres, Capo being one of them. All top lads. Rory Kockott has honed Arata into a royal pain in the ass. DuPont came from Castres, Arata at Castres, there’s a connection. Lebrun (who you’d rather like squidge) will become so good that he’ll be stolen by a bigger club. I had a beer with him in stansted a couple of weeks ago.

Really looking forward to seeing the lower tier teams this WC, nice seeing Portugal back in and ive enjoyed watching Chile's progression

It would take a very long time to compile all groups into a video so a video for each in which you showcased the power dynamics, who we should look for, who we should cheer for and why the tournament matters to each team would be amazing I love your work and hope one day the rugby my country (Brasil) or the one in live in (Portugal) gets to a point they are worthy of being showcased here
