Pretty happy with this feeder!! It's weight sensitive so the ports close with the weight of the squirrel but don't close for the birds.

Purchased one of these years ago. The best one to keep squirrels off the feeders. When the inner spring broke, the company sent the part ASAP. Very easy to clean. A life time purchase for sure.

Used the squirrel weight to shutdown the feeder. Great design.

I think those birds must enjoy teasing the squirrel, see how quick they landed when he left, just to sort of rub salt in the wound...lol :)

I have this Brome. I got the clear baffle as well. Keeps the seed dry and shelters the birds while they eat. Best feeder ever.

The birds were like, man we're glad that stupid squirrel gave up! lol. I have two squirrel buster feeders. A standard size and I just got my plus feeder this afternoon. There is nothing but woods behind my house and the trees are full of all sorts of birds. I love to watch them at the feeder.

That is one very clever bird feeder. Since the squirrel is a lot heavier than the birds, the squirrels weight pulls down the bird feeder and closes off the food to the squirrel. This bird feeder does not need a battery to run a motor that spins off the squirrel.

I purchased on about three years ago. I donated it to a Nature Preserve that I go to. Other then a few spring replacements. It too is still going strong. Like I said Great Feeder and so far it is Great company to deal with.

My Grankids love that Buster...Though all 3 of EM are using Daisy Pellet Rifles And Grandpa has to Swatt some asses Though they are quick learning G'Pa 6'2 250 Samoan, never gets angry but when he ask for Tato Salad my girls (3)fighting for that Recipe.

Even tho it is not as entertaining as the carousel type bird feeder when it comes to repelling squirrels it's still very effective on squirrel deterrent

The holes are so small, it looks like only tiny, or long-beak birds will be able to feed from it.

1:08 I thought that was the reason, too (and it still may be?), but if you look at the timestamp I provided, you can see the weight of the squirrel pulls down on the mechanism to shut the holes up. Someone's comments made me realize this.

I can't help wonder what would happen if a squirrel were to jump on while a bird had it's head in there. 😝😜 (I suppose it's a good thing that birds are swift)

I've wondered about this as well. So far it hasn't happened and the birds do stay away when the squirrels are trying to figure it out.

Works better than the Yankee Flipper I have, No battery to keep charged, and it doesn't fling seeds all over the ground as it spins the squirrel off. Less fun to watch though, but that's a very rare occasion with the flipper anyway.

It's a great feeder. You can even adjust the sensitivity on it to close on bigger birds. Mine is set up to close on two doves. They would hog the feeder. It's still going strong!!

@ snap Very True! I have seen the bird-seed just FLYING out of the ports on the FLIPPER! They need to redesign the feed ports. The squirrels just can eat off the ground.

The plastic in my old flipper has become brittle, so the motor section is falling apart, If the new ones had solar charging, I might try another, but they don't, so I'll try one of these next.

I had 2 feeders.one with seed like this one and one with shelled peanuts. No birds came to the peanut one so I made it so the squirrels could get the nuts through the mesh.

My squirrels would chew plastic in 2 or 3 days they destroyed metal feeders as well

I think you might be thinking of the yankee flipper. That one spins and flings squirrels off the feeder. The squirrel buster doesn't need a battery and senses the weight by an adjustable spring.
