What if the coin comes out of the gap while the firing pin is removed?

Would probably take some effort to put back together. I've never had that happen though. As the coin is under tension, it seems to stay in position rather well.

I’d believe the U.S. nickel may not work as well as a U.S. dime or penny. IMO, a true copper (versus a zinc clad) penny may be best as it would be soft enough not to cause any damage to the bolt. Cheers.
