The room Tilly is standing in isn’t technological at all. It’s a stone room, and the lights are just holes in the wall with fire behind them. Perhaps a temple of some sorts.

I like your point about the transporter room. The biggest problem I've had with the new tech is, how does the transporter system know where you want to go? I think that "high tech" room is just a background with firelight showing through holes in a screen or walls

lol if you never saw or heard of a smartphone --- how could you POSSIBLY call anyone on the planet using what they call 'speed dial'?

@@marvinratchford7913 The number designates the destination, therefore the location. What's the phone number of a location you've never been too? (not a phone you've never called) What's the number of the Ready Room? How is that communicated to the transporter? Lol genius, doesn't understand how phones work

I'm the same. I miss the transporter. Plus, how does it KNOW where you're going? I've not heard anyone speak of a destination, nor seen anyone program it. Is there a crew member who monitors the transporters and ensures you land in a specific spot on a planet? And bring you back on the ship? To my knowledge, it's never been explained.

@Sci-Finatics, did u already see the new season of prodigy yet, i guess it was already released in France? And maybe the villagers are just hiding their true technological advancement or whatever is hiding underneath, just curious to see what's going on on the next episode of discovery...

Im with you on the Transporter Room. It's conspicuous in its absence. Although it's all futuristic made up stuff of course.... but I just cant understand how they 'aim' their transporter. Does it read their mind?? How does it know where they want to go? When Rayner and Burnham spontaneously transported from the bridge to the ready room.... how did they both tell it where to go? All they do is tap the com badge....... I think this every time..... how does it know????

I think they can program in a “default location” so when they triple tap it just takes them there. But I’m pretty sure we’ve seen them beam to more than just the ready room….so… 🤷🏻‍♂️

@@Sci-Finatics exactly. every time they transport there is no preparation just a tap. Ive watched them transport to different parts of the ship... onto alien planets... and even a few meters away all with just the same tap of the badge. It would be a bit more believable if they had to first pull up the holo-interface and at least select a destination but no - a tap takes them where they want to go. Amazing tech :-)

Star Fleet should repair all towers and leave parts behind, and train the native people to look after the towers. Come back to the planet. Star Fleet has changed from the past, and a new Star fleet laws existed now.

Tilly is just the Burnham Friend of the week. I don't hate this show like some but i will be happy that hopefully some of the "Discoveryisms" will end with this show.

I figured they would turn into giant salamanders and make salamander babies. Just like Janeway and Paris. They might as well reference Voyager too. One other classic REAL Trek show to prop up this disastrous mess! 🤔🤔🤷🏻‍♂🤷🏻‍♂🤦🏻‍♂🤦🏻‍♂😂😂

You assuming that species was born and evolve at the same time. Humans can older than some young species that are cut off from other advanced races in the galaxy. The Federation is not everywhere, it’s still a big galaxy even in the 31 century.

@@RealfantastikGalactik75 Also even it was within Federation space, the Prime Directive ensures that per-warp civilization develop at there on pace with the goal that they won't be exploited by more advanced cultures like how Osyraa's Emerald Chain exploited the people of Kwejian (Book's people)

Well, I must be a drug addict (Need Star trek) to watch this very painful bla bla bla bla emotions! 95% personal 5% adventure. Old shows were 80% adventure story and 20% personal and was amazing. you would think that with the rating they are getting they would get the message.

The season is the worst of the whole series (as expected). Extremely boring. Just chasing for the non-senses. The episode 1 and 2 were barely ok while I could still see some star ships in action. However, after that. All episodes are junks. Too many emotional expression. And they just keep expressing the personal emotion without telling any actual sci-fi story. If the coming episodes are the same style. This star trek discovery series will come to a poorest ending ever seen in the history of star trek.
