This game looks really sweet. This is why I like this show, it introduces me to things I'd not see otherwise. On a side note, Joanna's shirt is really cool looking.

I have to agree with Kaja on the accessibility of this game. I love tabletop games but I don't have many friends that do, the cost seems prohibitive to me and I cannot expect someone else to do the same. I would absolutely love to play it, but that will be a very difficult task. The expensive collection aspect of these types of games (expensive expansions for just a few ships) also turns me off quite a bit since I will always feel that I'm not getting the full experience of play.

Looks like another cool Star Wars game. I have X-wing and enjoy it a lot, but this is cool to see the bigger ships in action. I see a lot of people complaining about cost and the fact that not much is included. But core sets are almost always like that in these types of games. The quality on the models looks top notch. I still haven't bought it, but I plan to. One question, Does it include solo missions?

Hi Starlit Citadel Ladies, I just would like to ask. Given that you play through a board games multiple times (or maybe you have a board game cafe that does exactly this; do you varnish board game tiles to make them more durable from wear and tear? If yes, can you please make one video mainly on varnishing board game tiles and tokens and maybe also on sealing the token sides? My interest spawned specifically from the Fantasy Flight Game = Mansions of Madness. We punch out the tiles and tokens from the cardboard frames they come in when new. The nature of Mansions of Madness is that we put together the game tiles for each specific story. This gives the double-sided tiles a lot of wear and tear each time we play it. The punched-out tokens are also susceptible to wear and tear, so I was thinking of spraying on varnish on both sides to make them last longer. Hope you can help. Many thanks!

It would have been worth mentioning a skim of the content in the two announced waves, such as more squadrons, a large rebel ship and the Imperial mk-II Star Destroyer (it's kind of a big deal). Picking up two cores is one option, but a single core and the inevitable expansions is what the game is designed around. I like a lot of things about your review. I like seeing women play and review boardgames, especially ones that are as "nerdy" as a Star Wars miniatures game. However, starting the review with a very comprehensive rundown of the rules is pretty dry and seems unnecessarily formal. If you lead with some of your reactions about the game that energy may carry the viewer through some of the bland technical bits. Cutting back to the longer shot with both reviewers while Kaja is offering her opinion on the game is strange, I kept expecting Joanna to take over, but it didn't happen. If you're going to shoot with both reviewers simultaneously it might work better to mix their opinions in more paragraph sized segments, looking for something almost approaching a dialogue. It was a little bit uncomfortable to have them side by side but not really addressing each other. The other option would be to keep the tight shot and 'interview' them one on one. It's your fourth season of these videos, you're clearly working to a formula you find effective, but I absolutely had to say something.

Isn't this the same thing as X-WING miniatures? Can someone give me a reason to buy this version also? I already have STAR WARS: ASSAULT. And no, I'm not THAT kind of fan that just collects the minis.. haha. I'm a very casual gamer

I've never balked at the cost of X-wing, which isn't particularly cheap, but Armada does not feel like a good value to me. I felt that there was a lot of money spent on the management bits--bases, command dials, etc. The ships are nice, but I opened this box and was disappointed. The box itself is massively over-sized (deceptive) AND doesn't do anything to provide any storage solution at all (typical for FFG), and as usual, includes less dice than it should. I know a lot of people might like the fighters, but they are just flotsam for me.

this game is ass and the price point is too high for most. Not enough in the box, no way to store it, and as pointed out, a cover which deceptively shows two boxes worth of shit. People will buy anything with certain logos and names on them. Case in point. Call this any other game other than Star Wars and you have ABSOLUTELY nothing special.
