Having seen Star Wars ANH hundreds of times, and read many, many books about the making of I never knew the trench ran from pole to pole and that the exhaust port is near the top pole - but then again that now makes perfect sense. Thanks for sharing that rare Larry Cuba video. That was such an achievement back in the early 70s.

Why put a wire trench view into a computer for? You built a plastic model of the death star. I see this was for the blue print that Princes Liea down loaded into R2-D2.

Why, at 1:50, do you say that the correct answer is that the exhaust port is along the equator, when that is not the conclusion that you come to by the end??

I say "Which is the correct answer?" but I understand if the inflection did not come across.
