I've been really looking forward to watching this edit, when I finally get it my media player and tv doesn't play 4k. No better time for an upgrade! Amazing work, man!

So the recolored upscale comes through the dirt that is removed. Very cool.

Would you entertain the thought of releasing an MKV of the SSE in 4k encoded with the HEVC encoder as a preliminary test? I figure it might be too much of a hassle, but I thought I'd ask if that would possibly be considered. Thank you for what you're doing.

This method avoids making up missing pixels from adjacent frames by using blu-ray footage which was restored by making up missing pixels from adjacent frames.

No, the clean frames we're using are from The Silver Screen Edition LPP print, not the Bluray.

@@Moviefan-yz7js There are no Special Edition changes. Only a handful of frames from the Bluray were used at the reel changes.

@@Moviefan-yz7js 4K77 is a scan of a 1977 print. There is nothing post '77 about it, not even an Episode IV A New Hope title in the crawl at the beginning. Please stop asking the same questions over and over again.

Nice, but can you please equalise your audio, insanely loud to quite voice recording. Make sure you are outputting at -6Db

Well in this case it's from the LPP print we already cleaned, but of course you could also find clean frames on the official DVD and Bluray.

True. Easier to show what's happening if you see us use the menus and click on things rather than just a bunch of keystrokes in the background though, don't you think?
