I love Plo-Koon! He's hands down my favorite character in all of Star Wars. I love the Kel-Dor race and how they see issues in black and white terms. I also love the concept of the Baran Do and how Plo-koon was a master tactician, lightsaber combatant, and scientist. When Darth Maul actively says Koon is a dangerous combatant and wanted to fight him, you know he's a badass. But by far his creation of electric judgement is his greatest accomplishment. I know I am simply expositing stuff, but I just love this character. I really hope the new trilogy can introduce Ke-Dorians as they are an amazing group.

Plo Koon would win, according to wookipedia he was one of the best duelists of his era (stated by darth maul himself) maybe only second to Windu, and he can also do the electric judgement. Kit Fisto and Agen Kollar before going to arrest Palpatine said that they would feel more secure if Plo Koon or Obi Wan were there, which confirms Plo Koon is a monster jedi.

Both of you have made this match-up quite believable, very impressive given all the controversial sources within the Star Wars Expanded Universe, especially surrounding Plo Koon. I like this one a lot. However, I still wonder if either of you two could create a documentary match-up featuring Orgus Din, from Star Wars The Old Republic.

Qui Gon was the very first Jedi in a thousand years who discovered the secret of Force Ghost, he outclasses Plo Koon as a force user any day! Even Yoda mentioned in Ep3 that he will become Qui Gon's apprentice to learn this ancient technique. The Jedi lightsaber master who taught Qui-Gon had considered him the best lightsaber duelist he had ever seen in over 400 years of teaching in the Jedi Order. (what does Plo Koon have?) Also Qui Gon often having sparred with Mace Windu. Plo Koon the winner is such a dry humor!

Talking about the story of Jinn again and again gets so boring

I like the Soresu defense switching into the Ataru counter attack idea, that sounds a lot more practical.

Given Qui Jin's aptitude for capitalizing on his opponents weakness, I think he'd go straight for Plo's breathing aparatus. Therefore, instantly forcing him on the defensive, and opening up for a killing blow. Given his Makashi inspired Ataru form, Plo would face multiple powerful attacks, force him to have a centered guard(thereby limiting Plo's offence severely and creating multiple gaps in his defence). That said, he is probably lacking in force powers compared to Plo.

After listening to Jensaarai1's overview of Qui-Gon Jinn's Lightsaber technique it sounds like to me that Qui-Gon was more of a Loose Djem So master than a re-tooled Ataru master. His focus on power attacks and strength seem to be a fundamental of Djem So practitioners including its focus on blast deflection and redirection which Qui-Gon employed. Yes a do admit that the factor of Qui-Gon chaining in physical strikes is an Ataru practice, but I would also lead that Qui-Gon still had his own varied style which may have implemented parts of Ataru into it. So from what I took in, Qui-Gon seems to be a hybrid Djem So master than a re-tooled Ataru master, but this is from what I took in, its likely you've both done more research than me.

I wonder if Quigon Jinn is really a shi cho specialist. He does great against multiple blaster wielding assailants, is highly unpredictable in his movements, and relies on power blows to take down his enemy quickly. He also has enough knowledge to engage a lightsaber duelist for a while, but seems to have notable difficulty against single opponents. While I agree that much of his style is ataru based, I think he is pulling away from the style. Ben Kenobi did the same thing when he aged past his physical prime, reverting from a ataru/soresu style to shii cho.

it would be fun to do a triple threat free for all. Three fighters all against each other. It would be interesting to figure out and I don't think anyone has done it. Which three would be up to u guys

Adding to my idea for an Orgus Dinn match-up, I think Qui-Gon Jinn or Ben Kenobi (A New Hope-era Obi-Wan) would be the best match-ups. All three Jedi Masters were past their prime upon their introduction. All three had more reverence for the Force rather than awesome displays of power. And all three became Force Ghosts upon death and returned to aide their former-apprentices later in life.

Ya know.. I have a brilliant theory ;) Maybe.... Just maybe.... Qui-gon's fighting style is not the result of an exceptionally complex modification of the fourth form of lightsaber combat known as Ataru. Rather the last minute improvisation of Liam Neeson. The *actor* who plays the role. Being 45 years old and 6'4 it makes sense that they would chose a strength orientated style for him.

Good stuff guys. If I could make a suggestion as a fan of you both. How about doing a video where you both pick a battle where you both don't agree on a winner. Debate with each other as to why your fighter would win, with controlled concise wording, in the end, one of you submitting to the others argument and both agreeing on a winner. With that said my request is Mace Windu vs Darth Vader, both are favorites of mine, pre or post suit Vader is fine, pick whatever version you both think is the strongest all around with the best chance to win.

Very entertaining vs. Video. Good job guys! Plo Koon hands down is and always has been my favorite jedi. 1 do to his bad ass alien looks and mask. 2 his mastery of force judgment/ lightning and 3 his orange lightsaber blade. Before clone wars came out he was chronicled as a jedi sentinel, his focus both force knowledge and lightsaber ability. Hence all the pictures of him with his signature orange saber. I was very disappointed when they stuck a blue saber in his hand (not even a yellow one) they just switched him to a gaurdian .... also just wanted to state that Qui gon jin was a jedi consular (hence the green saber) making him much more proficient at learning the ways of the force and less interested in lightsaber combat. I think plo would win as well. 2 of the greatest jedi for sure!

Two friends finally face each other. And it's perfectly obvious by the looks of Plo Koon's fighting style and powers of the Force that he wins. I'm surprised Jensaarai1 actually read some Jedi Apprentice books. Another he should read is "The Dark Reckoning." Qui-Gon used Force Jump to lock blades with Xanatos while both were in midair. I recently found that out. Interesting, huh?

I think for me the nail in the coffin is that in Star Wars: Obi Wan's Saber Arena (which are to recreate Obi Wan's Jedi Trails) the Jedi he must face to "truly test his combat prowess" and his force instructor for some time (according to the game), was Plo Koon and not Qui-gon Jinn... which I think is rather telling of Koon's prowess in lightsaber combat I think the fight would be one of the most interesting to watch with both fighters countering eachother's styles and weaknesses... but that respirator is such a disadvantage against a fighter who manipulating that weakness would be the first priority

Hy I have an off topic question that have bothered me for the last couple days. In sequal trilogy there are these reference to the profecy of "the chosen one". But it never was really explained what is the profecy at least not in the movies. So what was the profecy about? Was Anakin really "the chosen one"? Or he was thought to be "the chosen one" only because he was created through pure force with the help of Darth Plagueis (therefore he had so many midiclorians even more than Yoda)? What was he supposed to do according to the profecy? And one last question with another topic. How could Anakin have a padawan before the time of the third movie? I don't understand how Ashoka could came to the picture. When it clearly stated in the third movie that Anakin is not a Jedi Knight therefore he should nnot be allowed to have a padawan because he himself is a padawan (I think he never got to be a jedi knight).

Hmmm. With Ataru the form emphasizes mobility - philosophically that can be applied to finding alternate and superior angles of attack with regards to just about anything. Remember Kenobi's Point of view speech to Luke? Ataru was his first form after all. Also Qui-Gon's use of a bet to secure little Ani was a unique angle of attack for that problem. A little strategic bullying would have been much more straightforward, but that's not how he thinks. Also his willingness to train Anakin by going around the council's wishes if that's what it was going to take could also be applied. Going around an obstacle is an Ataru kind of solution. Perhaps the term "Find a way" is a good philosophical summation. God I'm a geek.
