Never sympathized with Lucien. Also never considered his story a good redemption. To me, Ulic had a great redemption story. Lucien was just a crazy a-hole that in the last 5 minutes of the story realized he was insane and somewhat helped to destroy Hazen.

Maybe it can in some situations. In Star Wars Rebels, Ezra uses mind dominate on an Imperial walker driver during a battle and forces him to kill a whole bunch of Imperial soldiers then drive off the edge, which saves his entire team's lives that day

1 correction, Bane was not able to withstand Zannahs madness spell. He braced for it and even backed off so he could gather the force yet she ripped right through his defenses. What saved him was letting out a omnidirectional force blast when he roared against the spell. This is the second time shes broken through Banes force defenses, despite them supposedly still being on equal footing in that department. Glad to see a fair assessment for Zannah instead of a bias one.

I dont like how 10years ago and even still today, the Star Wars versus community still misrepresents Zannahs saber skill. Her Soresu held up against the best duelists in her era. Sarro was statednto be bigger and stronger than Bane and just as fast under battle meditation. Yet she held him and Johan at bay with her skills. Whats worse is Zannah wasnt even trying to duel them, she states she was stalling for Bane (she had not yet learned independence from Bane yet and was still just an apprentice at this point). Peopel also do not mention who Sarri is, he is a Jedi Master who was apprentacing to become the weapons master of the Jedi. She stifled Banes attacks several times and could even turn his blade away for counters. Every time people talk about Zannah being played by her opponent as an anti-feat, they always fail to mention that its Bane specifically that does it, someone whos familiar with her and taught her. Everyone else got washed. She also briefly stalled Orbalisk Bane. Zannah has counter techniques. She turns heavy strikes downward in order to pull people off balance. She will backspring and stop and thrust for off aggressive duelists. Ataru users specifically would fall prey because they launch themselves at their opponents. Saying Zannah would struggle against Makashi or Ataru due to unfamiliarity isnt very good seeing as she was surprised by Bane switching to Juyo and still stifled him. You also said Zannah doesnt use force blasts because they are useless in battle against other force users. Zannahs force blast in the prison pushed through Banes force barrier sending careninh into a wall and turned a lightly armored human to pulp.

I actually rhink this is the only way both book amd show can make sense. I also like the concept that maybe Arya always was the waif and that was the training being conceptualised. Its the only way i think each FM actions make sense. I think the faceless man who wears Arya's face kills those on Arya's list becausr those deaths were owed to the many face god - if shes become no one then the many fcaed god loses those on the list. This way they are repaid. This also has a benefit that the Arya faceless man will likely get close to Jon, the man closest to the dragons - creatures the faceless men want dead as much as the others... Wanting no magicks that change Valar Morgulis.

i could understand why krayt wanted the sith army to be a loyal hive mind as he did that to ensure his order wouldnt succumb to infighting. While wyyrlok wouldve perhaps beenba stronger and wiser version of khans brotherhood. i unfortunately have to side with krayts idea on this one and with his immortality in check to monitor his order being in check i do feel like krayt never abandoned his vision. Plus i felt the same that even if i knew Krayt would lose to Cade, i was rooting for krayt to win.

It was the first EU book I've finished and I was not disappointed at all! Neither am I disappointed with your impassioned and prolific discussion of its contents! You guys always bring such enthusiasm, nuance and care to Star Wars lore and media that is sorely lacking at the moment! I understand that life goes on, there are other franchises to explore and you all might have moved away from Star Wars, neither do I want to relegate you only to Star Wars topics, but I do so miss your Star Wars content. I've never come across a group of individuals which such a great collective knowledge and academic understanding of the work. You all elevate it beyond mere entertainment, and I have passed hundreds of hours listening to your discourse, Versus videos, reviews etc. I do hope one day you all might come together again to eventually discuss Star Wars again. The current media isn't phenomenal but there is still some content worth experiencing in my opinion: Ahsoka, Bad Batch, Jedi Knight Fallen Order, the new novels etc. Thank you from the bottom of my fandom heart for providing such wonderful commentary and insight. Qui Gon is 6'4, incredibly strong in the force and in his prime would've beat Darth Maul. He was trained by Count Dooku who was one of the strongest force users ever so that gives him another advantage over Plo Koon. Also, all of what we know about Plo Koon's lightsaber technique and how strong he is etc. is from legends and even less canonical sources. All we really know is he is a man with a shrimp head and a blue lightsaber. In canon Qui Gon wins.
